The futsal tournament at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games took place between December 9–20. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournaments. All matches took place in Wunna Theikdi Futsal, Naypyidaw. Official drawing took place on 6 November 2013 in Naypyitaw, Myanmar.

The 2014 AFF U19 Youth Championship or AFF U-19 Nutifood Cup 2014 held from 5 September to 13 September 2014, hosted by Vietnam. 5 members of the ASEAN Football Federation have registered to take part in the competition, these being hosts Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and Myanmar. Japan have also accepted an invitation to take part.

The 2016 AFF Futsal Championship is the 13th edition of the tournament which been held from 23 January 2017 to 29 January 2017. It was initially planned to be held from 31 October to 6 November 2016.

The 2017 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 14th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be second AFF Futsal Championship to be held in 2017, with the first one originally meant to be hosted in 2016 to be held in early 2017.

The 2018 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2018 AFC Futsal Championship, the 15th edition of the international men's futsal championship of Asia.

The 2018 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 15th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be held in November 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

The men's football tournament at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games was held from 14 to 29 August in Malaysia in August 2017. In this tournament, all 11 Southeast Asian teams played in the men's competition. In addition to the host city of Kuala Lumpur, matches were also played in Shah Alam and Selayang. Associations affiliated with FIFA might send teams to participate in the tournament. Men's teams were restricted to under-22 players.

The men's football tournament at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games was held from 25 November to 10 December 2019 in the Philippines. All eleven Southeast Asian nations participated in the men's tournament. Matches were played in Manila, Biñan and Imus. Men's teams were restricted to under-22 players.

The 2019 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 16th edition of the tournament. The tournament was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Indonesia participated at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam from 12 to 23 May 2022. The Indonesian contingent consisted of 499 athletes, competing in 32 out 40 sports.

The 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, the 17th edition of the international men's futsal championship of Asia.

The 2022 AFF Futsal Championship was the 17th edition of the AFF Futsal Championship, organized by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) in the sport of futsal. The tournament was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The top three finishing teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Kuwait as AFF's representatives.

The men's football tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 6 – 22 May 2022 in Vietnam. Ten Southeast Asian nations participated in the men's tournament. The group stage and semi-finals were played in Việt Trì and Nam Định, while Hanoi hosted the bronze and gold medal matches. Men's teams are restricted to under-23 players with a maximum of three over-aged players allowed.

The women's football tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 6–22 May 2022 in Vietnam. Seven Southeast Asian nations participated in the women's tournament. All matches were played in Quảng Ninh. There was no age limit for this tournament. Indonesia withdrew from the competition after the draw. Malaysia withdrew from the competition before the draw. Timor-Leste did not take part in the competition.

The futsal tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games is scheduled to be held from 10 to 20 May 2022 in Vietnam. All matches will be held at Hà Nam Gymnasium in Phủ Lý. Hà Nam Province.

The 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualification was an international men's under-17 football competition which was held to decide the participating teams of the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup. It was held as under-17 tournament for the first time after rebranding by AFC.

The women's futsal tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held from 15 to 19 May in Vietnam. In this tournament, 4 Southeast Asian teams played in the women's competition. Indonesia withdrew from the competition after the draw.
