The GFA Premier League is the top football league in Grenada. It was created in 1983 and is headed by the Grenada Football Association. 10 teams participate in this league.

The 10th-placed team is relegated to the Grenada First Division, while the 9th-placed team plays a play-off with the 2nd-placed team of the second level.

Despite being a league competition in CONCACAF none of the Grenadan teams ever played in CFU Club Championship or CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

Some of the matches are played at the 9,000 capacity Grenada National Stadium. In 2014, the match between PetroCaribe Queens Park Rangers and Nixon's Electrical Happy Hill FC was the first live broadcast of a Premier Division match. [1]

The 2003 Caribbean Football Union Club Championship was an international club football competition held in the Caribbean to determine the region's qualifier for the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Seven teams from four football associations played in the 2003 edition, contested on a two-legged basis. A round of 16 and a preliminary round were scheduled but never played due to 11 teams withdrawing from the competition.

Christopher Leroy Ramsey is a former professional footballer who is currently technical director at Queens Park Rangers. He played as a defender, most often as a right back, for Bristol City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Southend United, Naxxar Lions and Cocoa Expos. Ramsey coached for Tottenham Hotspur working with their academy and was appointed as first team coach where he assisted Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand. The 2015–16 West of Scotland Super League Premier Division was the fourteenth Super League Premier Division competition since the formation of the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region in 2002. The winners of this competition are eligible to enter round one of the 2016–17 Scottish Cup. The two last placed sides are relegated to the Super League First Division. The third-bottom placed side will enter the West Region league play-off, a two-legged tie against the third placed side in the Super League First Division, to decide the final promotion/relegation spot.


The 2015 GFA Premier Division was the 33rd season of top-division football in Grenada. The competition began on 23 May 2015 and concluded on 24 October 2015. The league title was won by Carib Hurricane who achieved a record-tying fourth title. It was also their first title since 2008.

The 2016 GFA Premier Division was the 33rd season of top-division football in Grenada. The regular season competition began on 10 June 2016 and concluded on 23 October 2016.

The GFA Super Knockout Cup,Grenada Super Cup or simply known as the GFA Cup, is the biggest cup tournament held for association football teams in Grenada. It is run and overseen by the Grenada Football Association. It is held for football clubs competing in the GFA Premier League, GFA First and Second Division annually.

The 2019–20 GFA Premier League was the 36th season of the GFA Premier League, the top division football competition in Grenada. Instead of a normal league competition, a cup competition, branded as the 2020 GFA Club Championship was played. The season began on 4 January 2020 and was scheduled to end on 22 March 2020, but was postponed for five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The final rounds of the season were played from 15 August 2020 until 29 August 2020.
