Gabriel De Coster (Uccle, 25 October 2000) [2] is a Belgian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2017. [3]
In October 2020 he was a surprise bronze medalist in the K1 event at the U23 European Championships. [4]
On 6 May 2021, De Coster progressed to the semifinal of the 2021 European Championships, qualifying to represent Belgium in the K1 event at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. [5] [6] He finished 22nd after being eliminated in the heats.
De Coster delivered a breakthrough performance at the Pau round of the 2022 Canoe Slalom World Cup, winning the K1 event in a time of 97.94 seconds. [7] This was Gabriel's first final at the senior level and marked Belgium's first World Cup victory. [8] [9]

Canoe slalom is a competitive sport with the aim to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging downstream or upstream gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible. It is one of two kayak and canoeing disciplines at the Summer Olympics, and is referred to by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as Canoe/Kayak Slalom. The other Olympic canoeing discipline is canoe sprint. Wildwater canoeing is a non-Olympic paddlesport.
Peter Kauzer is a Slovenian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 1999.
Daniele Cristoforo Molmenti is an Italian slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1999 to 2016.
Fabien Lefèvre is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 1998. As a permanent resident of the United States, he has competed for his country of residence since 2013. He represented France until 2011. He is the most successful kayak cross competitor at global level in the history of the event.
Jakub Grigar is a Slovak slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2012. He specializes in the K1 discipline and occasionally competes in kayak cross.
Ricarda Funk is a German slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008, specializing in the K1 discipline and since 2021 also in kayak cross.
Kimberley Woods is a British slalom canoeist who has competed in C1, K1 and KX1 at the international level since 2011. A six time world and eight time European champion, she won the bronze medal in both the K1 event and the first ever women's kayak-cross (KX1) event in Paris at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Mònica Dòria Vilarrubla is an Andorran slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2014. Mònica was the flagbearer for Andorra at the 2020 Summer Olympics and at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
