Gabriele Rossetti (born 7 March 1995) is an Italian shooter, the son of the Olympic medalist Bruno Rossetti. [2] He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics where he won the gold medal in skeet. Rossetti also won the individual and team gold medals in skeet at the 2017 World Championships in Moscow.

Andrea Benelli is a retired Italian skeet shooter. He competed at the 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics, and won a gold medal in 2004 and a bronze in 1996. In 2004, he and Marko Kemppainen finished with 149 hits out of 150, but Kemppainen missed first in the shoot-off. Benelli also won the individual world title in 1987 and 1990, placing second in 1986, and third in 1999. In 1996 he set two world records at 125/125 and 150/150.

Bruno Mario Rossetti was an Italian sport shooter and Olympic medalist. He received a bronze medal in skeet shooting at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Rossetti was born in Troyes, Aube, France.

Gino Rossetti was an Italian football manager and former footballer who played as a forward. He jointly holds the record for the all-time most goals scored in a single Italian league season at 36 goals with Torino during the 1928–29 season. He competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics with the Italy national football team, where he won a bronze medal, and was top scorer in the 1927–30 edition of the Central European International Cup, where he won a gold medal.

Vincent Charles Hancock is an American shooter and Olympian who won the gold medal in men's skeet at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He is the first skeet shooter to repeat as the Olympic champion.

Skeet was one of the thirteen shooting events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. It was the last Olympic skeet competition open to both men and women, and the only mixed shooting competition at the Olympics ever won by a woman: Zhang Shan. The competition consisted of a qualification round of 150 targets, a semifinal of 50 targets for the top 24 competitors, and a final of 25 targets for the top six. Hitting all 200 targets of the preliminary rounds, and 23 in the final, Zhang won ahead of four male shooters at 222. With José María Colorado eliminated due to lower final score, a three-way shoot-off between Juan Giha, Bruno Rossetti and Ioan Toman determined the silver and bronze medals, going to Giha and Rossetti respectively. The event was held on 28 July at the Mollet del Vallès Shooting Range.

He holds the European record in the long course 800 metre and 1500 metre freestyle events with times of 7:39.27 and 14:32.80, respectively. In the 1500 metre freestyle, he is a 2016 Olympic, three-time world long course, two-time world short course, three-time European long course, and three-time European short course champion. In the 800 metre freestyle, he is a 2019 world long course, 2022 world short course, three-time European long course, and 2021 European short course champion. Barteková finished 8th at Women's Skeet event at the 2008 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal in Women's Skeet at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She also competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Barteková is a 14-time gold medalist in the Slovak Championship since 1999.

Amber Jo Rutter OLY is an English sport shooter who specialises in skeet. She has won a total of three gold medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series, and the inaugural European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan. A member of the GB team, Hill trains with her personal coach Joe Neville at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in Wycombe. In February 2023, Hill married motocross racer James Rutter. Since her withdrawal from the 2020 Olympics, she has been active in promoting mental health in sport.

Mairaj Ahmed Khan is an Indian skeet shooter and two-time Olympian. Khan was the first Indian skeet shooter to qualify for the Olympics when he qualified for the Rio Olympics in 2015; he also competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. He has won gold at the ISSF World Shooting Championships, the Commonwealth Shooting Championships, and the Asian Shooting Championships. In 2021, Sportstar reported that Khan was ranked #24 in the world in skeet.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Shooting at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's skeet</span> Olympic shooting event

The Men's skeet event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 25 and 26 July 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. After a disappointing showing in Rio, 2008 and 2012 champion Vincent Hancock of the United States rebounded to reclaim the gold medal, thus setting an Olympic record by becoming the first to win three gold medals in this event. Denmark's Jesper Hansen, after getting to the finals through three shoot-off rounds, won silver, the first Olympic medal in his career. The bronze was awarded to Kuwait's Abdullah Al-Rashidi, who was also the 2016 bronze medalist in skeet. The defending champion Gabriele Rossetti entered the competition but did not qualify for the finals.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Italy at the 2020 Summer Olympics</span> Sporting event delegation

Italy competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Italian athletes have appeared in every Summer Olympics edition of the modern era, with the disputed exception of the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis where one Italian may have participated.
