The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) is the governing body for the majority of junior and senior level ice hockey teams in the province of Ontario. Founded in 1890, the OHA is sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Federation along with the Northern Ontario Hockey Association. Other Ontario sanctioning bodies along with the OHF include the Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Northwestern Ontario. The OHA controls three tiers of junior hockey; the "Tier 2 Junior "A", Junior "B", Junior "C", and one senior hockey league, Allan Cup Hockey.
Junior ice hockey is amateur-level ice hockey for 15- to 20-year-old players. National Junior teams compete annually for the IIHF World Junior Championship. The United States men's national junior ice hockey team are the defending champions from the 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
The Empire B Junior C Hockey League is a former Junior "C" ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. The league was merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League as the Tod Division in the summer of 2016.
The Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League was a junior ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. The "Central" played inter-league games with the Empire Junior "C" League. The champion of the Central competed for the All-Ontario Championship and the Clarence Schmalz Cup. The league is now a division in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) is a Canadian Junior ice hockey league and member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League and Northern Ontario Hockey Association. The winner of the NOJHL playoffs competes for the Dudley Hewitt Cup with the winners of the Ontario Junior Hockey League and the Superior International Junior Hockey League. The winner of the Dudley Hewitt Cup then moves on to compete for the Royal Bank Cup.
The Morrisburg Lions are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Morrisburg, Ontario. They are members of the National Capital Junior Hockey Leaguecommencing with the 2015-16 season. Prior to this the Lions were members of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJBHL) of Hockey Eastern Ontario and Hockey Canada
The Whitewater Kings are a Canadian junior ice hockey team from Cobden, Ontario. The Kings play in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Between 2014-15 and the end of the 2019-2020 seasons, the EOJHL and the CCHL set a new agreement in an attempt to create a better player development model. This resulted in the league re-branding itself as the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 (CCHL2), and shrinking to 16 teams and two divisions. The league reverted to the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League for 2021. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the Whitewater Kings were known as the Prescott Flyers that started as a member of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Smith Falls Jr Bears are a Junior "B" ice hockey team in Smith Falls, Ontario. The franchise originated as the Westport Rideaus and played in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL). The Glens are one of the most successful Team in the league since the year 2000, they went to the League Finals 6 time since 2004 and 8 times in total.
The Arnprior Packers are a Junior "B" ice hockey team in Arnprior, Ontario. They were also once members of the CJHL before joining the Ottawa Valley Junior Hockey League in 1967. The Gatineau Flames are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Buckingham, Quebec. The team is a member of the Quebec Junior Hockey League, but was a member of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League for decades, ending in 2015.
The Metcalfe Jets are a Junior "C" ice hockey team based out of Metcalfe, Ontario. They initially played in Junior "B" out of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League which was re-branded to the Central Canada Hockey League 2. For the 2017-18 season the franchise became members of the National Capital Junior Hockey League.
