The North Kawartha Knights are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Apsley, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Orr Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League. [1]
The North Kawartha Knights joined the Central Ontario Junior C. Hockey League in the 2014–15 season under the leadership of owner Gord Mackenzie-Crowe and GM Gary Geraldi. The team has since been sold to current owners Josh Perks, John Trotter Sr., John Trotter Jr., Ed Whitmore and Duane Wiltshire. [2]

The Canadian Hockey League is an umbrella organization that represents the three Canada-based major junior ice hockey leagues. The CHL was founded in 1975 as the Canadian Major Junior Hockey League, and is composed of its three member leagues, the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. For the 2023–24 season, its three leagues and 60 teams represent nine Canadian provinces as well as four American states.
The Saginaw Spirit are a major junior ice hockey team based in Saginaw, Michigan. They are members of the West Division of the Western Conference of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), one of the Major Junior leagues of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).
The 2004–05 OHL season was the 25th season of the Ontario Hockey League. The OHL inaugurated two awards for scholastic achievement, the Roger Neilson Memorial Award and the Ivan Tennant Memorial Award. Twenty teams each played 68 games. The London Knights set a Canadian Hockey League record, being undefeated in 31 games. On March 11, 2005, the league announced OHL Live Stream, a new streaming service to be developed over a three year period. The J. Ross Robertson Cup was won by the London Knights, defeating the Ottawa 67's.
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL).
The Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) is a junior A ice hockey league and a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) and Hockey Canada. The league operates in the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. states of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Winners of the SIJHL playoffs compete for the Dudley Hewitt Cup against the winners of the Ontario Junior Hockey League and the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The winner of the Dudley Hewitt Cup then moves on to compete for the Centennial Cup, the Canadian Junior A championship.

The FPHL began operations in November 2010 as the Federal Hockey League. Don Kirnan is the league's commissioner. Travis Dermott is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Dermott was rated as a top prospect projected as a possible first round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft but was ultimately selected in the second round, 34th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has previously played for the Maple Leafs and the Vancouver Canucks.
Drake Caggiula is a Canadian professional ice hockey left wing currently playing for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
