Garshom is a 1999 Indian Malayalam film, directed by P. T. Kunju Muhammed. The film stars Murali, Urvashi, Madhu and Siddique in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Ramesh Narayan. [1] [2] [3] It was the debut film of noted lyricist Rafeeq Ahammed. It won the John Abraham Award for Best Malayalam Film in 1998. [4]
Nasseruddin is a straightforward man who has returned to India from the Gulf after spending 12 years doing hard labor. He hasn't been able to save up much for his wife, mother and two children. However, he has a very positive, calm mindset and tries doing business. His relatives are not keen to help him, although they are rich. A financial divide clearly appears between his family and their relatives leading to stressful situations for his children, wife and himself.
Being a very truthful and straightforward person, he loses his business. He is arrested by the police for failure to repay a bank loan as well. After being bailed out, depressed and dejected, he returns home where his wife consoles him. His mother suggests that he head back to the Gulf to look for work, which he does.
The music was composed by Ramesh Narayan and the lyrics were written by Rafeeq Ahamed.

Ramesh Narayan is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Narayan began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj.

Twenty:20 is a 2008 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written by Udayakrishna-Siby K. Thomas and directed by Joshiy. The film stars Mohanlal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram and Dileep. The film was produced and distributed by actor Dileep through Graand Production and Manjunatha Release. The film was produced on behalf of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) as a fundraiser to financially support actors who are struggling in the Malayalam film industry. All the actors in AMMA worked without payment in order to raise funds for their welfare schemes.
Avtaar is a 1983 drama film starring Rajesh Khanna and Shabana Azmi. It was directed by Mohan Kumar, and the music was by Laxmikant Pyarelal, and lyrics by Anand Bakshi. Avtaar was a commercial hit, and was critically acclaimed. The film earned several Filmfare award nominations. Rajesh Khanna achieved success with Amardeep and Prem Bandhan onwards, but this was Rajesh Khanna's biggest film in terms of box office collections since 1973. However, Rajesh Khanna lost the Best Actor award to Naseeruddin Shah for Masoom. In 1986, Mohan Kumar made Amrit with Rajesh Khanna in the lead as an old man, but with a different story line. Rajesh Khanna received an All-India Critics Association (AICA) Best Actor Award for his performance in this film in 1983.

Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha is a 2009 Indian Malayalam-language mystery film written and directed by Ranjith, starring Mammootty, Shwetha Menon and Mythili. It is based on the novel of the same name by T. P. Rajeevan, which said the true story of the first recorded murder case in Kerala. Mammooty plays three characters in the film. The film was Mythili's debut in cinema. Ranjith also introduced about thirty Malayalam stage artists through this film. The film tells the story of a private detective, who returns to his birthplace, a village called Paleri, to solve a murder mystery that occurred on the same night he was born. Upon the release of the movie, it got an 'A' certificate due to its violent and adult content.
