The Seattle Storm are an American professional basketball team based in Seattle. The Storm competes in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The team was founded by Ginger Ackerley and her husband Barry ahead of the 2000 season. The team is currently owned by Force 10 Hoops LLC, which is composed of Seattle businesswomen Dawn Trudeau, Lisa Brummel, and Ginny Gilder, along with former player Sue Bird.

Robert G. Kloppenburg is an American basketball coach. Kloppenburg played college basketball at USC and Fresno State. In a career spanning from the 1950s to 1990s, Kloppenburg coached at the high school, college, and professional levels. From 1958 to 1976 and 1977 to 1978, Kloppenburg was head coach at California Western University. For much of the 1980s and 1990s, Kloppenburg was an NBA assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle SuperSonics, Denver Nuggets, and Toronto Raptors; he also had brief stints as interim head coach for the Cavaliers and SuperSonics. Utilizing an influential press defense system, Kloppenburg is regarded as one of the best defensive coaches.
Heidi Elizabeth VanDerveer is a women's basketball collegiate and professional coach. She is currently the women's basketball head coach at UC San Diego.

Noelle Quinn is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach for the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Quinn played in the WNBA for Minnesota Lynx, Los Angeles Sparks, Washington Mystics, Phoenix Mercury, and the Storm. She won the WNBA Championship with the Storm in 2018. She also played for Botaş SK in the Turkish Women's Basketball League.

The 2020 Seattle Storm season was the franchise's 21st season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The regular season was originally scheduled to tip off at home versus the Dallas Wings on May 15, 2020. However, the beginning of the 2020 WNBA schedule was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The shortened season tipped off on July 25, 2020, versus the New York Liberty.

Fredrick Joe Chmiel is an American women's basketball coach. He is currently the women's basketball head coach at the Bowling Green State University. He previously served as the head coach at Feather River College, Lassen College and the San Jose Spiders of the NWBL. He also was an assistant coach in the WNBA and at several NCAA Division I universities including the University of South Carolina where he was part of two national championship teams.
The 2024–25 UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball team will represent the University of California, San Diego during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tritons, led by 12th-year head coach Eric Olen, will play their home games at the LionTree Arena in La Jolla, California, as members of the Big West Conference.
