Geir Inge Lien

Geir Inge Lien (born 30 May 1972) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party.

He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Møre og Romsdal during the terms 20092013, 20132017 and 20172021. [1] On the local level he became mayor of Vestnes in 2011. [2]

Geir Rönning Musical artist

Geir Rönning is a professional singer-songwriter from Ålesund, Norway. He later moved to the capital Oslo in the 1980s, and later on to Stockholm, Sweden, where he found opportunity to start a musical career. He later moved to Finland, which he represented in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. He returned to Norway in 2006 to try unsuccessfully to represent Norway in Eurovision through a joint song with Jorun Erdal. In 2010, he had a comeback trying to represent this time Finland in Eurovision. The same year he also took part in the Swedish Idol 2010, coming seventh.

Oslo String Quartet was formed in 1991 by Geir Inge Lotsberg and Per Kristian Skalstad (violins), Are Sandbakken (viola), and Øystein Sonstad (cello). It was among the 1994 prize winners of the London International String Competition, which is among the most prestigious string quartet competitions internationally. In 2007 Skalstad left the quartet in order to pursue a conducting career. Liv Hilde Klokk replaced him from the start of 2008. The quartet regularly at music festivals in Scandinavia and elsewhere, including Wigmore Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. The quartet was awarded Komponistforeningens pris in 1998 and the Kritikerprisen for 1999–2000. Their CD recordings of Carl Nielsen's quartets won them a 1999 "Editor's Choice" nomination in the international journal The Gramophone, which stated "Artistically it is the finest at any price point ... totally dedicated, idiomatic performance ... full of vitality and spirit and refreshingly straightforward".

<i>Buddy</i> (2003 film) 2003 Norwegian film

Buddy is a 2003 Norwegian film directed by Morten Tyldum after a script by Lars Gudmestad. The music was composed by Lars Lillo-Stenberg, known from the band DeLillos. The film was well received by critics, and won two Amanda Awards in 2004.

Brann won the Norwegian Cup after beating Molde 3–2 on 24 October. The goal scorers were Geir Austvik after 17 minutes, Ingvar Dalhaug after 42 minutes and Neil MacLeod after 58 minutes. For Molde, Rune Ulvestad scored in the 21st minute, and Steinar Henden scored in the 37th minute. Øyvind Pettersen was sent off for Brann in the 88th minute. 24,000 spectators watched the match at Ullevål stadion in Oslo. The referee was Torbjørn Aass. This was Brann's fifth Norwegian Cup.

The first season premiered on Norwegian NRK1 on 25 January 2012 with a record audience of 998,000 viewers, and premiered on Netflix in North America on 6 February 2012, with all eight episodes available in full for streaming on the service.
