Gemini Syndrome is an American alternative metal band formed in 2010 [1] in Los Angeles. The band currently consists of vocalist Aaron Nordstrom, [2] drummer Brian Steele Medina, bassist Alessandro "(AP)" Paveri, and guitarist Miguel "Meegs" Rascon. [3]
The band's debut album, Lux, was released in September 2013. Reviewers drew comparisons to bands like Mudvayne, Five Finger Death Punch, and Tool. [1] Four singles spawned from Lux: "Pleasure and Pain", "Left of Me", "Basement", and "Stardust", which peaked at number 19 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. [4]
Gemini Syndrome released their sophomore album, Memento Mori, on August 16, 2016, which hit number 1 on the Heatseakers Charts. [5] Five singles spawned from Memento Mori: "Eternity", [6] "Anonymous", [7] "Alive Inside", [8] "Sorry Not Sorry", [9] and "Remember We Die", which reached number 24, and spent 20 weeks on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In a press release on September 13, 2017, the band announced that Miguel "Meegs" Rascón (formerly of Coal Chamber) joined the band, [11] replacing both Daniel Sahagún and Charles Lee Salvaggio. [12]
In August 2018, the group performed throughout the United States with American rock band Messer. [13]
On December 17, 2019, the band released a video announcing a new album and that the first single is expected to be released early in 2020. [14]
On July 23, 2021, the band announced their third album 3rd Degree – The Raising to be released on October 15, 2021. The album features the three previously released singles, "Die with Me", "IDK", and "Reintegration", along with a newly released single "Abandoned". [15]

Metalcore is a fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, that originated in the late 1980s. Metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing, while other defining instrumentation includes heavy guitar riffs often utilizing percussive pedal tones and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically perform screaming; more popular bands often combine this with the use of standard singing, usually during the bridge or chorus of a song. However, the death growl is also a popular technique within the genre.

Memento Mori is the second studio album by American rock band Flyleaf, released through A&M/Octone Records on November 10, 2009. The title is a Latin phrase meaning "be mindful of death" or "remember you will die". Memento Mori debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200, selling 56,000 units in its opening week. Shaman's Harvest is an American alternative metal band from Jefferson City, Missouri. Bassist Matt Fisher, singer Nathan "Drake" Hunt, and guitarist Josh Hamler founded the band in 1996. Ryan Tomlinson joined the band on lead guitar for their 2009 album Shine. Shaman's Harvest released their fifth full-length album titled Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns on September 16, 2014. This release marked their debut on Mascot Records.

Lamb of God is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Lamb of God. Lamb of God marks the first studio album of all-new material by the band since 2015's VII: Sturm und Drang, making it the longest gap between their albums, and the first to feature Art Cruz as the replacement for original drummer Chris Adler, who left the band in July 2019.
