The Genesis New York is a concept car made by Hyundai Motor Company for its luxury division, Genesis Motor. It debuted at the 2016 New York International Auto Show with a hybrid gasoline-electric drivetrain, previewing the Genesis G70 production automobile.
The New York is equipped with a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain, using a 2.0L four-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motor for a combined output of 242 hp (180 kW; 245 PS) and 260 lb⋅ft (36 kg⋅m; 350 N⋅m) of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), also known as the Detroit Auto Show as of 2022 and prior to NAIAS, is an annual auto show held in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., at Huntington Place. The show was held in January from 1989 to 2019. It was intended to move to the summer in 2020, but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic that year and 2021, before returning in September 2022. The Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV is a prototype plug-in hybrid crossover utility vehicle, first exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in September 2009. It uses an 85 kW 1.6-litre gasoline engine as a powerplant and generator for two 30 kW electric motors, one on each axle. Mitsubishi claims it to be capable of up to 50 kilometres per litre under optimal driving conditions.
The Kia Ray concept car is a prototype of a car that is designed to be a fuel-efficient, environmentally conscious vehicle. At the 2010 Chicago Auto Show, Kia Motors entered the green car competition with the Kia Ray, unveiling this plug-in hybrid prototype that can be electrically recharged through a standard electrical outlet.
