George Affleck (born 1888 in Auchendinny, Scotland) was a footballer who played in the English Football League for Grimsby Town and Leeds City. [2] Following his retirement, he became a football coach in Rotterdam. [1]

The 1934–35 Yorkshire Cup was the 27th occasion on which the Yorkshire Cup competition had been held. Castleford Sports Stadium was a Football, greyhound racing, rugby union and rugby league and multi sports stadium located on the east side of Lock Lane in Castleford, West Yorkshire. The 1977–78 season was Leeds United's fourteenth consecutive season in the Football League First Division. Along with the First Division, they also competed in the FA Cup and the Football League Cup.

The 1971–72 season was Leeds United's eighth consecutive season in the Football League First Division, the top tier of English football, where they finished 2nd, one point behind winners Derby County. Alongside the First Division, the club competed in the FA Cup, Football League Cup and the UEFA Cup. Leeds won the FA Cup, beating Arsenal 1–0 in the final on 6 May 1972. They were eliminated from the Football League Cup in the third round and were knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Lierse S.K. in the first round.

The 1980–81 season was Leeds United's 54th season in the Football League, and their seventeenth consecutive season in the Football League First Division, the top tier of English football, where they finished 9th. Alongside the First Division, the club competed in the FA Cup and the Football League Cup, being eliminated in the third round of the former and the second round of the latter.

The 1963–64 season was Leeds United's 37th season in the Football League, and their fourth consecutive season in the Football League Second Division, the second tier of English football, where they finished first, and won promotion back to the First Division. Alongside the Second Division, the club competed in the FA Cup and the Football League Cup, being eliminated in the fourth round of both competitions.
