Leslie Ethelbert George Ames was a wicket-keeper and batsman for the England cricket team and Kent County Cricket Club. In his obituary,Wisden described him as the greatest wicket-keeper-batsman of all time. He is the only wicket-keeper-batsman to score a hundred first-class centuries.
Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. A club representing the county was first founded in 1842 but Kent teams have played top-class cricket since the early 18th century,and the club has always held first-class status. It was given to the town of Sevenoaks in Kent in 1773 by John Frederick Sackville,3rd Duke of Dorset (1745–1799) and owner of nearby Knole House. The land is thought to have possibly been used as a vineyard for the Archbishops of Canterbury.
Frederick Henry Huish was an English professional cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper for Kent County Cricket Club in the period before the First World War. Huish played over 450 times for Kent and was part of the sides which won four County championship titles in the Golden Age of cricket leading up to the war. He holds the record for the most dismissals by a wicket-keeper in first-class cricket who did not play a Test match.
Derek Gilbert Ufton was an English professional cricketer and footballer,and later a football manager. Playing professionally for Kent County Cricket Club as a wicket-keeper and Charlton Athletic Football Club,Ufton won a single international cap for the England national football team in 1953. He went on to manage Plymouth Argyle. At the time of his death,in March 2021 at the age of 92,he was England's oldest living international footballer.

He was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who played professionally for 25 years and was part of the Kent teams which won four County Championships before World War I.

John Colin Theodore Page was an English cricketer,cricket coach and manager. He played for Kent County Cricket Club as a right-arm bowler between 1950 and 1963. Page played in 198 first-class matches,taking 521 wickets. He was later the manager and coach of Kent and the director of youth coaching at the club and is considered to have been a major factor behind the success of the county side during the 1970s.
