Thiruvananthapuram,( TIRR-oo-və-NUN-təp-OOR-əm; Malayalam:[t̪iɾuʋɐnɐn̪d̪ɐpuɾɐm] ) formerly known as Trivandrum,( trih-VAN-drəmEnglish:/t̪iɾʋænɖɾʊm/ ) is the capital city of the Indian state of Kerala. Potta is a tiny village 30 miles north of Kochi, also known as Cochin. It belongs to the municipality of Chalakudy in the Thrissur district, state of Kerala, India.
