Georgios Balarjishvili (born 23 September 2002) is a Cypriot judoka.
Balarjishvili won a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the 66 kg event after defeating Finlay Allan in the final. It was Cyprus' first ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in judo. [2] He was also, at the age of nineteen, the second youngest winner ever beheind Craig Fallon in 2002. Prior to the Commonwealth Games, Balarjishvili had claimed a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Athens in 2022. [3]
Kate Louise Howey is a former elite British judoka. She remains the only British woman to have won two Olympic judo medals and shares with fellow Olympic medalist Karina Bryant the record of being the only British judoka to have competed at four Olympic Games.

She is a member of the IJF Hall of Fame, and recognised as one of the most successful British and female judoka of all time.

Or "Ori" Sasson is a retired Israeli Olympic judoka. He won a bronze medal in the +100 kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympics and another one at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He is the second of two Israelis to win two Olympic medals.

He is the 2024 European all-around champion, and the 2022 European horizontal bar champion and the first gymnast from Cyprus to win a European title, and a major all-around title. He is the 2019 European Championships all-around bronze medalist which made him the first gymnast from Cyprus to win a European medal. He is the 2019 European Games parallel bars silver medalist. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won the gold medals in the floor exercise and parallel bars and the bronze medal in the all-around, and he won four bronze medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is the 2018 Mediterranean Games all-around and horizontal bar champion and the 2022 Mediterranean Games horizontal bar champion. He competed at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.

Anna-Maria Wagner is a German judoka. She won the gold medal in the women's 78 kg event at the 2021 World Judo Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. She also won one of the bronze medals in both the women's 78 kg and mixed team events at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 21 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Juniors Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Odivelas, Portugal in 2023.

The Men's 66 kg judo competitions at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England took place on August 1 at the Coventry Arena. A total of 16 competitors from 14 nations took part.
