The Gepiu is a river in Bihor County, Romania. [1] Its source is near Șauaieu. [2] Near Inand it discharges into the Corhana. [3] Various reaches of the river are known under different names such as Pruniște River, Valea Cireșului River, Calaboj River, Sămăroaga River or Rădăoli River.[ citation needed ] Its length is 27 km (17 mi). [1]
Bihor County is a county (județ) in western Romania. With a total area of 7,544 km2 (2,913 sq mi), Bihor is Romania’s 6th largest county geographically and the main county in the historical region of Crișana. Its capital city is Oradea.
The Crișul Repede is a river in Bihor County, Crișana, Romania and in southeastern Hungary (Körösvidek). Together with the rivers Crișul Alb and Crișul Negru, it makes up the Three Criș rivers. These are considered the main rivers in the Crișana region of Romania. Historically, when Crișana was recognised as an official region, the Criș rivers were the most important in the region. Its basin size is 9,119 km2 (3,521 sq mi). Its length in Romania is 171 km (106 mi).

It flows in western direction towards Cefa, where much of its flow is diverted by the Criș Collector Canal towards the Crișul Negru near Tămașda. Part of its flow continues west and crosses the Hungarian border between Marțihaz and Geszt. The river is diverted into the canals of the drainage system of the area. The meanders of the Korhány near Geszt are a Natura 2000 site.
