Sir Malik Ghulam Muhammad was a Pakistani politician and economist who served as the third governor-general of Pakistan from 1951 to 1955.

Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad (1907–1972) was an Indian politician belonging to the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, who served as the Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 1953 to 1964. Bakshi was a member of the National Conference from its founding and rose to be the second in command to the principal leader Sheikh Abdullah. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1947 and 1953, but disagreed with Abdullah's advocacy of independence for the state in 1953. He staged a 'coup' with the help of the Head of State Karan Singh, resulting in the dismissal and imprisonment of Sheikh Abdullah. Bakshi was the longest serving Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, whose rule saw the formulation of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir and a normalisation of relations of Jammu and Kashmir with the Indian government.
Tara Chand is a politician and Dalit leader from Jammu and Kashmir. He was Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 2009 to 2014. He had earlier served as the Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. On 30 August 2022, he resigned from Indian National Congress in support of Ghulam Nabi Azad. He was appointed as Vice chairperson for Democratic Azad Party. On 22 December 2022, he was removed from Democratic Azad Party after the allegations of 'anti-party'activities.
Mian Ghulam Sarwar Khan is a Pakistani politician who was the former Federal Minister for Aviation, in office from 24 May 2019 to 10 April 2022. Prior to this position, he was appointed as Federal Minister for Petroleum on 20 August 2018, but he was shifted to the Aviation Ministry. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, from August 2018 till January 2023. Previously, he was a member of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and again from June 2013 to May 2018. He remained a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1985 to 1996.

The Lolab Valley is a Himalayan valley located in the Kupwara district of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The entrance to the valley lies 1 km (0.62 mi) east of Kupwara, and the centre of the valley lies 114 km (71 mi) northwest of Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an oval-shaped valley 15 miles (24 km) long with an average width of 3 miles (4.8 km). Valley is at an altitude of 1,590 metres above the Sea level.
Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi is a Pakistani politician who served as Minister for Industries and Production, in Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. A former leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Jatoi served as the Minister for Industries and Production in the third Sharif ministry. and previously held the cabinet portfolios of Minister for Communications during the first Sharif's ministry from 1990 to 1992, and as Minister for Overseas Pakistanis during the Second Bhutto ministry from 1993 to 1994.

Burhan Wani was a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, an Islamist militant organization and insurgent group of the Kashmir conflict. He was elected chairman through a first-ever election conducted in the history of Hurriyat when Syed Ali Shah Geelani relinquished office due to his deteriorating health.
