Alhaj Ghulam Qadir Ganipuri (22 July 1937 – 24 July 2015) was a Muslim scholar and spiritual leader. He was the founder of Madrasa Jamia Guni tul Uloom Akhyarpur (Bhatyas) in the Bhalessa, Doda district, of India, which was established in 1983 and named after Abdul Gani Sadiqui. Every year, seminars and literary programs are organized in his memory. During the 2014 Kashmir floods, Ganipuri and some NGOs of the Chenab valley helped flood-ravaged houses and families.
Ganipuri was born on 22 July 1937, in the Akhyarpur village of Bhatyas (Bhalessa). He graduated from Khilotran High School in 1954. [1] Ganipuri completed his Teacher Training Course from Bhaderwah and his degree and Alim Fazil (post-graduate degree) from Aligarh Muslim University. [1]
Ganipuri was a disciple of Abdul Gani Sadiqui and worked in government schools as a teacher and administrator. In 1956, Ganipuri taught at Thanamandi Rajouri and offered his resignation in under a year, citing personal reasons. In 1957, he began teaching in Ramnagar Udhampur. [1] In 1983, Ganipuri established a madrasa: Madrasa Jamia Guni tul Uloom Akhyarpur Bhatyas, which taught and employed both Hindus and Muslims. [1] He was inspired to do so by Darul Uloom Deoband. As an honored mentor, Ganipuri sat on a mattress in his room where supplicants visited him one by one. [4] Followers considered him a Hakeem and a Murshid (religious teacher). He was so widely respected that Muslims and Hindus would often travel to ask him for spiritual assistance. [4]
Ganipuri wrote 35 books, mostly in Urdu. He also acted as editor and publisher of the annual magazine Jamia Guni tul Uloom Akhyarpur. [1]
Ganipuri died on 24 July 2015, after a prolonged illness. [2] Seminars and other literary programs are held in his memory on the anniversary of his death. [5]

Jamia Islamia Bhatkal is an Islamic seminary of Islamic learning located in Bhatkal, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1962 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.

He has written many books and articles in the Bengali language and pioneered the introduction of a Bengali-medium among the Qawmi madrasas of Bangladesh.
Shah Abd al-Wahhab was a Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, educator, jurist,preacher of Islam(tableeghi) and spiritual leader. He served as the second rector of Darul Uloom Hathazari, was a former vice-president of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and served on the jury of Chittagong Court for 23 years. He was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband and Mazahir Uloom, and one of the important disciples of Ashraf Ali Thanwi. He is considered the second architect of the Darul Uloom Hathazari. He established several madrasas and mosques in Bangladesh and played various roles in the Bishwa Ijtema, the spread of Tablighi Jamaat across Bangladesh and Myanmar, Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh, the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, and the Islamic University, Bangladesh.
Muhammad Yunus Choudhury, popularly known as Haji Muhammad Yunus, was a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar and educationist. He was the second rector of Al Jamia Al Islamia Patiya, former president of Idarat al-Maʿarif and an active member of the Muslim World League. As the founding president of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh, Yunus contributed to the establishment and renovation of roughly 1500 madrasas in Bangladesh. He was awarded the title of Shaykh al-ʿArab wa al-ʿAjam by the Imam of Masjid al-Haram.
