Gilles Roth (born 1 March 1967) is a Luxembourgish politician of the Christian Social People's Party serving as minister of finance since 2023. [1] From 2007 to 2023,he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies. [2]

RTL is a French commercial radio network owned by the RTL Group through Groupe M6. Founded in 1933 as Radio Luxembourg,it broadcast from outside of France until 1981 because only public stations had been allowed until then. It is a general-interest,news,talk and music station,broadcasting nationally in France,Francophone Belgium,and Luxembourg. Until 2022,RTL was also broadcast on long wave frequency 234 kHz from Beidweiler which could be picked up in large parts of the continent. It has a sister station called Bel RTL tailored for the French Community of Belgium. As of 2018,RTL is France's most popular radio station with an average of 6.4 million daily listeners that year.
Luxembourg has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 38 times since its debut at the first contest in 1956. The Luxembourgish national broadcaster,RTL Lëtzebuerg (RTL),participates in the contest representing the country. The nation participated in all but one event between 1956 and 1993,only missing the 1959 contest. After finishing among the bottom seven countries in 1993,Luxembourg was relegated and prevented from competing in 1994. The nation declined to return to the contest in 1995,and would make no further appearances over the next three decades. The country returned to the event for the first time in 31 years in 2024.

Luxembourg is a liberal representative democracy,with universal suffrage guaranteed under its constitution. Elections are held regularly,and are considered to be fair and free.
Diekirch is a commune with town status in north-eastern Luxembourg,in the canton of Diekirch and,until its abolition in 2015,the district of Diekirch. The town is situated on the banks of the Sauer river.
South is one of the four multi-member constituencies of the Chamber of Deputies,the national legislature of Luxembourg. The constituency was established in 1919 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Chamber of Deputies. It consists of the cantons of Capellen and Esch-sur-Alzette. The constituency currently elects 23 of the 60 members of the Chamber of Deputies using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2023 general election it had 111,884 registered electors.
The Musée du Luxembourg is a museum at 19 rue de Vaugirard in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Established in 1750,it was initially an art museum located in the east wing of the Luxembourg Palace and in 1818 became the first museum of contemporary art. In 1884 the museum moved into its current building,the former orangery of the Palace. The museum was taken over by the French Ministry of Culture and the French Senate in 2000,when it began to be used for temporary exhibitions,and became part of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux in 2010.
Following World War II,the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg formulated plans to annex parts of Germany. This was considered as a form of reparations in addition to monetary compensation and employment of workers.
The involvement of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in World War II began with its invasion by German forces on 10 May 1940 and lasted beyond its liberation by Allied forces in late 1944 and early 1945.
Luxembourg competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil,from 5 to 21 August 2016. Since the nation's official debut in 1900,Luxembourgish athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games throughout the modern era,with the exception of the sparsely attended 1904 and 1908 Summer Olympics,and the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles at the period of the worldwide Great Depression.
