Glynn Ray Cyprien (born September 13, 1966) is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach at Texas Tech. He was formerly an assistant under Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M University in College Station. [1] [2] He previously assisted Josh Pastner at the University of Memphis, Billy Gillispie at the University of Kentucky, and prior to that was an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, UNLV, Western Kentucky, and Jacksonville University.

In 2004, Cyprien briefly served as head coach at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before being fired for falsely claiming to have completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Texas–San Antonio; he had instead completed bachelor's and master's degrees from Lacrosse University, an unaccredited distance learning institution. [3] [2] [4] [5] He has also served as an assistant coach at Lamar and Texas-San Antonio.

On January 9, 2017, Glynn was named head coach of the Grizzlies' NBA Developmental League affiliate, the Iowa Energy. In the 2017–18 season, he continued as head coach with the Grizzlies' new affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.

Cyprien lettered two seasons as a player at Southern University-New Orleans.

He has been a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for 18 years and the Black Coaches Association (BCA) for 13 years.

Cyprien is married to the former Monique Bouldin. They have two children.

Willis Thomas Wilson Jr. is an American basketball coach. He was most recently the head coach of the Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Islanders men's basketball team before retiring in March 2021. He previously served an assistant coach for the Memphis Tigers men's basketball team. Wilson was head men's basketball coach of at Rice University for 16 seasons, from 1992 to 2008.

The Memphis Tigers men's basketball team represents the University of Memphis in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The Tigers have competed in the American Athletic Conference since 2013. As of 2020, the Tigers had the 26th highest winning percentage in NCAA history. While the Tigers have an on-campus arena, Elma Roane Fieldhouse, the team has played home games off campus since the mid-1960s. The Tigers moved to the Mid-South Coliseum at the Memphis Fairgrounds in 1966, and then to downtown Memphis at The Pyramid, initially built for the team in 1991 and later home to the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies. In 2004, both teams moved to a new downtown venue, FedExForum. ESPN Stats and Information Department ranked Memphis as the 19th most successful basketball program from 1962 to 2012 in their annual 50 in 50 list.
