GoMo or GOMO is the name of two unrelated, online-only mobile telephone flanker brands. GOMO in Singapore, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines are owned by Singtel of Singapore, GoMo Ireland and Switzerland are owned by Iliad of France.

GOMO Singapore was the first to launch on 25 March 2019, using the Singtel mobile network. [1] GOMO Thailand is operated by AIS, a partly-owned subsidiary of Singtel. GOMO Philippines is operated by Globe Telecom, also a partly-owned subsidiary of Singtel. GoMo Ireland was launched on 15 October 2019, using the Eir mobile network. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] and has over 250,000 mobile customers, as of October 2020. [7] [8] [9] GoMo Switzerland was subsequently launched on 16 November 2021, using the Salt mobile network. [10]

GOMO Australia was operated on the Optus network, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singtel. On 1 June 2023, they stopped offering GOMO products to new customers and it was later announced that GOMO Australia will be closing all of its services on 15 December 2023.

Since its Irish launch, GoMo has offered one product, which is a sim-only mobile contract. The package is post-paid and includes unlimited calls to Irish mobiles and landlines, unlimited texts to Irish mobiles, 120GB 4G and 5G data (with unlimited lower speed data thereafter) and 10GB EU data. Switzerland

GoMo Switzerland currently offers a sim-only mobile contract offering unlimited local calls, unlimited local SMSes and unlimited domestic 4G data for 9.95 CHF per month, for the first 50,000 customers.

Customer service

GoMo has no customer service phone lines. All support is via social media and online channels. [16]

They operated a GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS(HSPA+) and LTE cellular communications network under licence from the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg), and were the third entrant in the market, after Vodafone Ireland and Three Ireland. The company was a wholly owned subsidiary of Irish telecoms network Eir, having been purchased for €420m in 2005. Meteor was the only Irish owned mobile operator in Ireland. Meteor once issued new numbers with the prefix code 085. Since the introduction of full mobile number portability in Ireland, access codes have become less relevant as mobile telephone users may now retain their mobile telephone numbers when moving between mobile network operators. As a result, Meteor customers could have numbers starting with the codes 083, 085, 086, 087, or 089.

GiffgaffLimited is an MVNO, marketed as a budget service provider and flanker brand of Telefónica UK. The stylised 'giffgaff' brand was founded by Gav Thompson a former marketing executive for Telefónica UK and was launched online only, on 25 November 2009.
