The band consists of singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X, percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Original bassist Alec John Such left the band in 1994, and longtime guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora left in 2013. The band has been credited with "bridging the gap between heavy metal music, rock and pop with style and ease".

Cobra Starship was an American dance-rock band from New York City, New York, formed in 2005 by Gabe Saporta. He recorded the first album as a solo project, While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets. Saporta later enlisted guitarist Ryland Blackinton, bassist Alex Suarez, drummer Nate Novarro, and keytarist Victoria Asher, all of whom provide backing vocals.

The lyrics conveyed Taupin's take on New York City after hearing a gun go off near his hotel window during his first visit to the city. The song's lyrics were partly inspired by Ben E. King's "Spanish Harlem," written by Jerry Leiber and Phil Spector, in which he sings "There is a rose in Spanish Harlem."

He is known for his distinctive vocals and for collaborating with other artists, as well as the SEGA Sound Team on the game Sonic Frontiers (2022). Some of his best known collaborations are on the tracks "King for a Day" with Pierce the Veil, and "Love Race" with Machine Gun Kelly.

The entire album was produced by Cameron Mizell who had produced their debut album. It is the final album to feature rhythm guitarist Jesse Lawson who left the band later in 2013. The album also features guest appearances by Fronz (Attila), Matty Mullins and Shayley Bourget.

Art of Anarchy is an American rock supergroup formed in 2011, which currently consists of brothers Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums, Tony Dickinson on bass, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal on guitar and production, and Jeff Scott Soto on lead vocals. The band's first album, Art of Anarchy (2015), featured the late vocalist Scott Weiland. The second album, The Madness (2017), featured vocalist Scott Stapp (Creed). In 2020, the band replaced Stapp with Soto and began production on the 2024 album, Let There Be Anarchy.

It is their first album record to feature guitarist Nick Martin of D.R.U.G.S. and Underminded who replaced former guitarist Jesse Lawson. Madness was preceded by lead single "Kick Me" as well as a string of digital singles. The album continues the band's progression to a more pop rock–style sound, but retains some post-hardcore influences on tracks.
