Good Hope FM is Cape Town's leading music focused interactive lifestyle radio station, whose contemporary hit radio format provides a music mix of R&B, pop, hip hop and dance. It targets young, global, routed[ further explanation needed ] and "now generation" listeners. Its footprint covers the Cape including the city, surrounding towns and villages the Overberg and Plettenberg Bay. The station has a target audience of LSM 6-9, 22-32 year olds.

The station has regular interviews with local artists and supports the local music industry. It broadcasts predominantly in English with English/Afrikaans news, traffic reports and commercials.

Good Hope FM is a SABC commercial radio station and was launched in 1965. The station is a well-established Cape Town brand which provides a platform for advertisers to reach the affluent 20-something market of metropolitan Cape Town.

Brasse Vannie Kaap (BVK) was a hip-hop group from the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa. They rapped predominantly in the Cape Flats dialect of Afrikaans. The original line-up included Deon Daniels (Boeta-D), Roger Heunis (Hamma), Ashley Titus and Enver Pietersen. Bboys Cheeze, Baby-L and Levi joined the group soon after they started to perform live.

Riviersonderend is a village in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, South Africa, about 140 kilometres (87 mi) east of Cape Town. CCFM (Cape Community FM) is a 24-hour, (when there is no load shedding) 7-day-a-week community radio station serving the people of Cape Town, South Africa. As a non-profit radio station who must adhere to ICASA Community Broadcasting regulations, CCFM broadcasts a mix of contemporary Christian music, combined with talk, views and interviews, and up-to-the-minute news, weather, and traffic information. Its slogan is “Changing lives for good.”

Radio Kaap se Punt is a community radio station which broadcasts in the Northern and Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, the Cape Flats and all the directions from a town called Grabouw. It is governed by the Kaapse Kulturele Uitsaai Assosiasie. Radio Kaap se Punt was founded in the terms of the Electronic Communications Act (ECA), the ICASA Code of Conduct and the Broadcasting Complaints Code of South Africa of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). After being established in February 2010, broadcasting officially commenced on 31 May 2013. The current frequency which the radio station broadcasts at is 90.7 FM. Two new frequencies will be launched in 2015. These frequencies will be 99.0 FM and 102.7 FM. Radio Kaapse Punt broadcasts a variety of genres. These genres include talk, news, drama and music. It broadcasts in three of the eleven national languages. The languages in which it broadcasts are Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa. With an annual total budget of less than R1 million, Radio Kaap se Punt is run by two full-time managers and many volunteers who together manage to provide radio and online services to a geographic area of 3.2 million people. The upside of a shortage of financial resources available to RKP is a dependence on these volunteers at a time in the history of South Africa when voluntarism is anything but de rigueur.

Chinese Voice is a Cantonese, Mandarin and English language radio network based in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Best News Entertainment, an Asian language television, print and radio company, and consists of three station set up between 2003 and 2010. It produces more than 80 hours of local content each week, including live talkback on news stories, migrant issues, political developments and dealing with New Zealand Government agencies. The stations also broadcast imported talk and music programmes from China and Hong Kong.

One FM 94.0 received its Community Broadcast License from ICASA in 2014, but only went live to air on 12 August 2015 with automated programming. The license was granted as a geographically founded community radio station. The official live broadcast date with presenters was 21 March 2016 at 12H00, which coincides with Human Rights in South Africa.
