Gordon Goudie (born 12 August 1987) is a Scottish cricketer. [1] He currently plays for Scottish League side Mazars Grange CC as well as for the Scotland national cricket team. Goudie made his One Day International (ODI) debut in July 2008,and in February 2010 played his first Twenty20 International. In December 2008,Goudie became one of the first three players to be awarded a contract with Cricket Scotland as the board looked to increase professionalism.
After playing for the MCC Young Cricketers in 2005,Goudie signed a contract with Middlesex that year, [2] but was released in 2006. Later in 2005,Goudie was called up to play for the Scottish Saltires;the Saltires were playing in the National League and were stuck at the bottom of the second division. [3] He represented Scotland Under-19s at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup. His batting was sufficiently good that coach Peter Drinnen considered moving him to the top of the order. [4]
Until 2008,the Scotland cricket team was made up of amateurs,players did not have contracts with the game's governing body in the country,Cricket Scotland,and balanced their sports careers with full-time jobs. Cricket Scotland began professionalising the national team in December 2008 with the introduction of contracts for three of its players. Goudie was one of the three along with fellow fast-bowler Dewald Nel and then captain Ryan Watson,allowing them to focus on playing cricket. [5] By the following March,Goudie was noticing the effects of being able to concentrate his efforts on cricket,saying "It has made a big difference. It has given us the time to fit in all the training that we need in preparation for the [2009 World Cup Qualifier] and the coming season. We don't have to cram in training sessions around work." [6] He also included in Scotland's 15-man squad for the World Cup Qualifier in April 2009, [7] however Goudie suffered an injury during the tournament and returned home before its conclusion. [8]
Cricket Scotland increased the number of players with full-time contracts to six in 2010,and Goudie retained his contract. [9]

William Thomas Stuart Porterfield is an Irish former cricketer and a former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman,he played for Ireland from 2006 to 2022,and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketers of all time. During Afghanistan T20I series in March 2017,he passed 1,000 runs in T20Is and became the first player from Ireland to do so. In May 2018,he was named as the captain of Ireland's squad for their first ever Test match,against Pakistan. He announced his retirement from international cricket on 16 June 2022.
Gary Craig Wilson is a former Irish cricketer,who is a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. He played for Ireland in Tests,One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals,with his first appearance for the national side coming in 2005. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match,against Pakistan,in May 2018. In June 2018,he was named captain of Ireland's T20I side,a role he held until November 2019. On 19 March 2021,Wilson announced his retirement from professional cricket.
Kevin Joseph O'Brien is an Irish former international cricketer who plays for Leinster and Railway Union Cricket Club. On 16 August 2022,he announced his retirement from international cricket.
John Francis Mooney is a former Irish cricketer. A left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium fast bowler,Mooney made his first-class debut in 2004. He had previously represented Ireland in the Under-19s World Cup of 2000 and has captained Ireland A. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2006 in Ireland's inaugural match in the format. In January 2010,Mooney became one of six players with full-time contracts with Cricket Ireland. He was named "Ireland Player of the Year" for 2010. His brother,Paul,has also represented Ireland in international cricket.
Richard Douglas Berrington is a Scottish cricketer. He played for Scotland in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka,and has since played first-class,One Day International,and List A cricket for Scotland. In June 2022,Berrington was named as the captain of the national team,after Kyle Coetzer stepped down from leading the side.
Kyle James Coetzer is a Scottish former cricketer who captained the Scottish national side in international formats. He captained at under-15,under-17 and under-19 levels including skippering in the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh.
Rana Majid Haq Khan,better known as Majid Haq,is a Scottish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented Scotland at Under 17,Under 19 and Under 23 levels,making his debut for the senior side on 20 July 2002 in a European Championship match against an England Board XI. He was a member of the Scottish squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. Haq is a cousin of fellow cricketer Omer Hussain. Both Hussain and Haq have played for Kelburne Cricket Club,Ferguslie Cricket Club and Clydesdale Cricket Club. He now plays for the Ayrshire-based club,Prestwick Cricket Club. Haq is of Pakistani descent.
Calum Scott MacLeod is a Scottish professional cricketer. He has represented the Scotland national team since 2008,including at the 2015 World Cup and the 2016 World Twenty20. He has played county cricket in England for Warwickshire and Durham. In January 2019,MacLeod was named the ICC Associate Player of the Year at the 2018 ICC Awards.
Paul Robert Stirling is an Irish cricketer. Stirling is the opening batsman for the Ireland cricket team and an occasional right-arm,off-break bowler. He is one of the top 10 run scorers in T20 internationals. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match,against Pakistan,in May 2018. He was appointed as the vice-captain of the Ireland team in June 2020. He subsequently served as interim captain of Ireland in the T20I and ODI format following the resignation of Andrew Balbirnie,before being appointed as permanent limited-overs captain in October 2023.

Andrew Balbirnie is an Irish cricketer,the current captain of the Ireland cricket team in Test cricket. Balbirnie is a right-handed batsman and an occasional wicket-keeper. He was born in Dublin and was educated at St. Andrew's College. He was one of the 11 cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match,against Pakistan,in May 2018. In December 2018,he was one of 19 players to be awarded a central contract by Cricket Ireland for the 2019 season.
