Gothic Cruise is a small, annual electronic gothic music festival operating since 1989. It has been continuously from a variety of ports within the United States of America with live entertainment since 2007.

History

1989-2003

In 1989 the first event sailed with 10 people [1] and the company claims to have had and average 140 people per sailing by 2003.

They sailed on Premier Cruise Line, Regal Cruise Lines, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

There were no live bands during this time.

2004-2006

2004-2005 there were no sailings.

2006 - Collide was scheduled to play as the first live band on the cruise, but that sailing was cancelled due to Hurricane Katrina.

2007

Carnival Cruise Line is an international cruise line with headquarters in Doral, Florida. Its logo is the funnel like the funnels found on its ships, with red, white and blue colors. The funnels are shaped like a whale's tail. Carnival is ranked first on the list of largest cruise lines based on passengers carried annually and total number of ships in fleet.

The Port of Miami, styled as "PortMiami" but formally the Dante B. Fascell Port of Miami, is a major seaport located in Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. It is the largest passenger port in the world, and one of the largest cargo ports in the United States. It is connected to Downtown Miami by Port Boulevard—a causeway over the Intracoastal Waterway—and to the neighboring Watson Island via the PortMiami Tunnel. The port is located on Dodge Island, which is the combination of three historic islands that have since been combined into one. It is named in honor of 19 term Florida Congressman Dante Fascell.

Built by Kværner Masa-Yards at its Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland, she was laid down on March 30, 2000, launched on March 29, 2001 and completed and delivered to Carnival on December 12, 2001. <i>Carnival Splendor</i> Concordia-class cruise ship

Carnival Splendor is a Concordia-class cruise ship serving under Carnival Cruise Line. She is the only Concordia-class ship in the Carnival fleet and the sole ship of her namesake class, the Splendor class. Her other sister ships are part of the Costa Crociere fleet. The 113,323 gross tonnage (GT) ship entered service on 2 July 2008 as the largest Carnival ship until Carnival Dream debuted in September 2009. Carnival Splendor is widely known for the November 2010 incident in which a fire started in the engine room, shutting down all electrical power to the ship.
