The Governor of Chaco (Spanish : Gobernador de la Provincia del Chaco) is a citizen of the Chaco Province, in Argentina, holding the office of governor for the corresponding period. The governor is elected alongside a vice-governor. The current governor of Chaco is Jorge Capitanich, since 10 December 2019; Capitanich previously held the post from 2007 to 2013 and from February to December 2015. [1]

Ángel Rozas is a retired Argentine politician. A member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), Rozas was Governor of Chaco Province from 1995 to 2003, and served as a National Senator for Chaco from 2013 to 2019.
Jorge Milton Capitanich is an Argentine politician, businessman, and accountant. He served as Governor of Chaco Province from 2007 to 2013, from February to December 2015, and later from 2019 to 2023. A member of the Justicialist Party, he previously served as Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers from 2013 until 2015, serving under President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, as intendente (mayor) of Chaco's capital city, Resistencia, and as National Senator, representing Chaco as well. Since 2007 he has also been president of the Club Atlético Sarmiento.
Roy Abelardo Nikisch is an Argentine Radical Civic Union senator, who served as governor of Chaco Province between 2003 and 2007.

The National University of the Chaco Austral is a very recently established national university located in Sáenz Peña, a city in the agrarian, central section of Chaco Province, Argentina. It was established in 2007 by an initiative of Governor Jorge Capitanich, and was included as part of a plan to geographically diversify Argentina's National University system; as such, its installations consist of the former local campus of the National University of the Northeast, notably the School of Agronomy and Forestry, and new additions.

Oscar Domingo Peppo is an Argentine politician. He was elected governor of the Chaco Province in 2015. In the early 1980s, he received a degree in construction, hydraulic and civil engineering in Resistencia and later worked as technical representative and general coordinator of the silo plants for a company. He also previously served as mayor of Villa Ángela. On January 29, 2020 he was appointed Argentinian ambassador to Paraguay.

Juan Carlos Bacileff Ivanoff is an Argentine politician who served as interim governor of Chaco Province from 2013 to 2015. He was vice governor of Chaco from 2007 to 2015, serving under Jorge Capitanich; upon Capitanich's appointment as Cabinet Chief of Argentina in November 2013, Bacileff Ivanoff stepped in as governor in interim position until Capitanich's dismissal in February 2015.
María Lucila Masin is an Argentine politician. She served as a National Deputy elected in Chaco Province, first elected in 2015 for the Front for Victory, and later re-elected in 2019 as part of the Frente de Todos.
Alicia Terada is an Argentine politician who served as a National Deputy elected in Chaco Province. A member of the Civic Coalition ARI, Terada was first elected in 2009, serving a four-year term until 2013. Despite running for re-election in 2013, she only took office in 2014 in replacement of Miguel Ángel Tejedor. She sat in the Juntos por el Cambio parliamentary inter-bloc from 2019 to 2021.
Aldo Adolfo Leiva is an Argentine politician and Falklands War veteran, currently serving as National Deputy elected in Chaco Province. A member of the Justicialist Party, Leiva was elected in 2019, and currently sits in the Frente de Todos parliamentary bloc. He previously served as intendente (mayor) of General José de San Martín, Chaco on two occasions, from 2009 to 2019, and from 2003 to 2008.
Elda Aída Pértile is an Argentine politician. Pértile has been active in politics since the 1980s; as a member of the local Acción Chaqueña party, she was elected intendenta (mayor) of Resistencia, Chaco in 1991, serving until 1995. She was also a member of the Resistencia City Council, and served in the Chamber of Deputies of Chaco during two consecutive terms from 2009 to 2017. From 2017 to 2021, she served as a National Deputy.
Emilio Eduardo Carrara was an Argentine politician, rancher, businessman, and member of the Justicialist Party (JP). He served as Vice Governor of Chaco Province from 1987 to 1991 under Governor Danilo Baroni. Carrara had previously served as the mayor of Campo Largo from 1973 to 1976.
