The Governor of Misiones Province (Spanish : Gobernador de la Provincia de Misiones) is the chief executive of Misiones, one of the federal Provinces of Argentina. This office is elected by the popular vote of the province for term of four years. Since 10 December 2019, the governor has been Oscar Herrera Ahuad of the Party of Social Concord. [1]

Misiones is one of the 23 provinces of Argentina, located in the northeastern corner of the country in the Mesopotamia region. It is surrounded by Paraguay to the northwest, Brazil to the north, east and south, and Corrientes Province of Argentina to the southwest.
Argentina is subdivided into twenty-three provinces and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation as decided by the Argentine Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system.
La Mesopotamia or Región Mesopotámica is the humid and verdant area of northeast Argentina, comprising the provinces of Misiones, Entre Ríos, and Corrientes. The landscape and its characteristics are dominated by two rivers: the Paraná and the Uruguay.

It is the largest party within the eponymous Front for the Renewal of Concord alliance. Its purpoted ideological basis is the so-called "Misionerismo", which stands for further autonomy for Misiones.
Bernardo de Irigoyen is a city in the province of Misiones, Argentina. It has 10,889 inhabitants as per the 2001 census [INDEC], and is the head town of the General Manuel Belgrano Department. It carries the name of prominent politician and diplomat Bernardo de Irigoyen.
Luis Alberto "Lucho" Viana is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. He was a member of the Argentine Senate representing Misiones Province in the majority block of the Front for Victory from 2005 to 2011.

Patricia Ocampo is an Argentine activist involved in community development and creation of libraries in Misiones Province. By 2014, she had worked with community organizers and celebrities to found 20 libraries. The organization she co-founded provides basic assistance to those in poverty and with disabilities and attempts to empower people through education and access to books and libraries. She is also involved in trying to stop child labor in Argentina, specifically in the yerba mate regions.
The Governor of La Rioja is a citizen of La Rioja Province in Argentina holding the office of governor for the corresponding period. The governor is elected alongside a vice-governor. Currently the governor of La Rioja is Ricardo Quintela, since 11 December 2019.
Hugo Passalacqua is an Argentine politician. He served as vice governor of Misiones Province from 2011 to 2015, under Governor Maurice Closs, and served as Governor of Misiones Province from 10 December 2015 to 10 December 2019.

Oscar Herrera Ahuad is an Argentine physician and politician who is currently governor of Misiones Province, since 10 December 2019. Prior to that, he served as Vice Governor under his predecessor, Hugo Passalacqua. Herrera Ahuad belongs to the Party of Social Concord.
Luis María Cassoni was an Argentine politician and pharmacist. He belonged to the Radical Civic Union (UCR) and served as Governor of Misiones Province between September and December of 1987.
Jorge Emilio Sarghini is an Argentine economist and politician, who is currently a member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies representing Buenos Aires Province. Historically a member of the Justicialist Party, Sarghini has served in a number of political posts throughout his career, most notably as a member and president of the Buenos Aires Province Chamber of Deputies, as Minister of Economy of Buenos Aires Province during the successive administrations of Eduardo Duhalde and Carlos Ruckauf, and briefly as Secretary of Communications during Duhalde's interim presidency in 2002.
Alejandra María Vigo is an Argentine trade unionist and politician, currently serving as a National Senator for Córdoba since 2021. A member of the Justicialist Party, Vigo forms part of the provincial Hacemos por Córdoba (HPC) alliance. She was previously a National Deputy from 2017 to 2021.
Ricardo Wellbach is an Argentine politician who was a National Deputy representing Misiones Province from 2017 to 2021. A member of the regionalist Front for the Renewal of Concord (FRC), Wellbach previously served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives of Misiones from 2007 to 2011. During the 2019–2021 congressional term, Wellbach was president of the FRC parliamentary bloc in the Chamber of Deputies.
