Gracen Hirschy (born April 4, 1995) is an American ice hockey defenceman and the current head coach of the Culver Girls Academy (CGA) Eagles under-16 ice hockey team. [1] Her college ice hockey career was played with the North Dakota Fighting Hawks women's ice hockey program in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) conference of the NCAA Division I. She played more than four seasons in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Djurgårdens IF Hockey Dam, MODO Hockey Dam, Linköping HC Dam, and Leksands IF Dam.
Hirschy scored 66 points in 145 NCAA Division I games with the North Dakota Fighting Hawks women's ice hockey program and was as an alternate captain in her senior season. [2] She was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team in her rookie season. [3]
Following graduation, Hirschy served as a graduate assistant coach to the Spartans women's ice hockey program of Aurora University in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) conference of the NCAA Division III during the 2017–18 season. [4]
In early March 2018, she signed with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden, earning 3 points in the last 5 regular season games of the 2017–18 SDHL season. The next year, she opted to remain in Sweden and signed with Leksands IF. [5] She put up 19 points in 34 games for Leksands, before leaving to join MODO Hockey for the 2019-20 season. [6] For MODO, she scored another 19 points in 35 games, as the team finished last in the SDHL. She was suspended for one game following a collision with a referee. [7]
In July 2020, Hirschy left MODO to sign with Linköping HC. [8]
As a member of the United States national under-18 team, Hirschy participated in the 2013 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship, winning a silver medal. [9] [10]
Hirschy attended Culver Girls Academy in Culver, Indiana for all four years of high school and played on the school's ice hockey team.
She has a degree in political science from the University of North Dakota. [11]

Guldhjälmen comprises two Swedish annual ice hockey awards that recognize the most valuable player of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) as judged by each league's players, respectively. Guldhjälmen is sponsored by the Swedish Magasinet Hockey in cooperation with CCM Hockey and TV4.
Kvalserien, also known as Kvalserien till SHL, was the Swedish round-robin ice hockey tournament to qualify for play in the next season of the Swedish Hockey League, Sweden's top-level ice hockey league for men. It was replaced by a playoff round in the 2014–15 season.
Michelle Karvinen is a Danish-Finnish ice hockey player and member of the Finnish national team, currently signed with Frölunda HC Dam of the Damettan. Karvinen has been described as "the world's best technical player" and she is considered one of the best currently active ice hockey forwards. With the Finnish national team, she has won three Olympic bronze medals and six IIHF Women's World Championship medals, five bronze and one silver.
Jennifer Dorothy June Wakefield is a Canadian ice hockey player and coach, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with MoDo Hockey Dam. She has served as an assistant coach to the Netherlands' women's national ice hockey team and the women's representative team of Almtuna IS in the Damettan. As a member of the Canadian national ice hockey team, she was a substitute for the roster that participated in 2010 Winter Olympics and played on the gold-medal winning team at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and the silver-medal winning team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Ice hockey is one of Sweden's most popular sports and participation in women's ice hockey is increasing; the number of registered women's ice hockey players in Sweden increased from 3,425 in 2011 to 5,973 in 2020.
The Swedish Women's Hockey League, abbreviated SDHL, is the elite league for women's ice hockey in Sweden. It was established in 2007 as the Riksserien by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and was renamed prior to the 2016–17 season. The league has ten teams and employs a system of promotion and relegation with the Nationella Damhockeyligan (NDHL). The unexpected withdrawal of Göteborg HC after playing only thirteen games of the 2022–23 season caused the number of teams to decrease to nine for the remainder of that season.
Andrea Schjelderup Dalen is a Norwegian ice hockey forward, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Frölunda HC. She has been a member of the Norwegian national ice hockey team since 2008. Dalen holds the record for most goals in a single SDHL season, with 47 scored in the 2015–16 season, and is the seventh leading all-time points scorer in SDHL history.
Sidney Emilie Morin is a Canadian-American ice hockey defenseman for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). As a member of the United States women's national team, she won a gold medal in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Linköping HC or LHC is an ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They are the representative women's ice hockey team of Linköping HC, a sports club based in Linköping, Östergötland, Sweden, and play at the Stångebro Ishall. LHC Dam won the Swedish Championship in 2014 and 2015.
The 2020–21 SDHL season was the 14th season of the Swedish Women's Hockey League. The season began on 12 September 2020 and concluded on 26 February 2021. All ten teams were able to complete a full 36-game regular season. Josefine Jakobsen is a Danish ice hockey forward and member of the Danish national team, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Brynäs IF. Known for her strong two-way play, she is the thirteenth leading scorer in SDHL history and the second leading scorer in Djurgården history. She has won the Swedish Championship three times and was the first player to be named Danish Women's Player of the Year twice by the Danish Ice Hockey Union.

Djurgården IF Hockey Dam are a professional ice hockey club in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in Stockholm at Hovet. The team is a section within the Djurgårdens IF multi-sport organization and are affiliated with its many other teams.
