The Graduate by Hilton Seattle is a historic Art Deco hotel in Seattle's University District.
The Edmond Meany Hotel opened in November 1931. [1] It was later known as the Meany Tower Hotel and the University Tower Hotel, before becoming the Hotel Deca in 2008. [2] It was renovated from 2017-2018 and reopened as the Graduate Seattle in November 2018. [3]
Hilton Worldwide bought the Graduate Hotels brand in May 2024, and operates the hotel as Graduate by Hilton Seattle. However, the Graduate Hotels structures are still owned by AJ Capital Partners. [4]

Belltown is the most densely populated neighborhood in Seattle, Washington, United States, located on the city's downtown waterfront on land that was artificially flattened as part of a regrading project. Edmond Stephen Meany was a professor of botany and history at the University of Washington (UW). He was an alumnus of the university, having graduated as the valedictorian of his class in 1885 when it was the Territorial University of Washington. Meany also earned a Master of Science from the University of Washington in 1899, and a Master of Letters from the University of Wisconsin in 1901.

John Holte was an American musician, who led the West Coast Swing Band revival of the 1970s by creating the New Deal Rhythm Band in Seattle in 1972. He played reeds and also wrote arrangements. He later created other Seattle Big Bands and was active in the Seattle music scene up to his death.
