Grand Island Public Schools (GIPS) is a public school district located in the city of Grand Island, Nebraska, United States. The district serves all of Grand Island. The school district has one high school, three middle schools, and fourteen elementary schools. The district also operates a preschool.

Enrollment

GIPS houses about 9,800 students; comprising of 36.4% White, 4.4% Black, 0.9% Asian or Asian/Pacific, 0.6% American Indian, 54.8% Latino and 0.1% Native Hawaiian. Also, about 52% of their students are male whole 48% are female.

Schools

The district houses fourteen elementary schools which include Dodge, Engleman, Gates, Howard, Jefferson, Knickrehm, Lincoln, Newell, Seedling Mile, Shoemaker, Starr, Stolley Park, Wasmer, and West Lawn. It also has a preschool, Early Learning Center, for children ranging from ages 3 to 5.

The three middle schools are Barr, Walnut, and Westridge.

The high school is Grand Island Senior High School or GISH.
