China Great Wall Wine Co., Ltd. is a Chinese producer of wine based in Shacheng town, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, China. By production volume, Great Wall is China's largest wine enterprise, producing 50,000 tons in 2010. [1]
Founded in 1983, Great Wall is a subsidiary of state-owned COFCO Group and their COFCO Wines & Spirits Co., Ltd.- a subsidiary of COFCO group that specializes in alcoholic drinks. Its main office is situated at the foot of the Great Wall of China, next to the Guanting Lake. [2]
The company has 74.8 hectares (1,125 mu) of vineyards, mostly in Shandong province. [1] More than ten different varieties of grapes are grown there. It uses 1,375 twenty-ton storage vessels with a total capacity of approximately 30,000 tons. [2]

Sparkling wine is a wine with significant levels of carbon dioxide in it, making it fizzy. While it is common to refer to this as champagne, European Union countries legally reserve that word for products exclusively produced in the Champagne region of France. Australian Vintage Limited (AVG) is an Australian public company that operates within the wine production industry. It was established by Brian McGuigan with the help of his wife, Fay, and younger brother, Neil McGuigan. The company was incorporated on 30 May 1991 in New South Wales under the name Roserim Limited. This name later changed to Brian McGuigan Wines Limited. After the merger with Simeon Wines in 2002, the company changed its name to McGuigan Simeon Wines Limited, before renaming it to Australian Vintage Limited in 2008. Azerbaijani wine is produced in several regions throughout Azerbaijan. Before communist rule in the 20th century, the region which makes up modern-day Azerbaijan had produced wine since the second millennium BC. The territory of modern-day Azerbaijan has a long history of wine production, that was rediscovered at archaeological digs of settlements in Kültəpə, Qarabağlar and Galajig where archaeologists discovered stone fermentation and storage vessels that included residue and grape seeds dating back to the second millennium BC. The Ancient Greeks were well aware of wine production in the area by at least the 7th century BC according to Herodotus. Later Strabo would comment in the 1st century BC about a wine known as Albania from the region. Arabic historians and geographers—most notably Abu'l-Fida, Al-Masudi, Ibn Hawqal and Al-Muqaddasi - described the extensive viticulture around Ganja and Barda that was taking place even after Islamic conquest of the area.
