Wasim Akram is a Pakistani cricket commentator,coach,and former cricketer and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. Akram is regarded as one of the greatest bowlers of all time. He is often revered as The Sultan of Swing. In October 2013,Wasim Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be named in an all-time Test World XI to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. As captain,he led Pakistan to the finals of the 1999 Cricket World Cup,where they lost to Australia by 8 wickets. He was a part of the Pakistani squad which won the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
Danish Parabha Shankar Kaneria,is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistan national cricket team between 2000 and 2010. A right-arm leg spinner who could bowl a googly,Kaneria played 61 Test matches for Pakistan and took 261 wickets at an average of 34.79. He was the second Hindu,after his cousin Anil Dalpat,and the seventh non-Muslim overall to represent Pakistan in international cricket.
Herath Mudiyanselage Rangana Keerthi Bandara Herath,known as Rangana Herath,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,who played all forms of cricket game and a former Test cricket captain for Sri Lanka. Herath is the most successful left arm bowler in Test cricket history. He worked as spin bowling consultant with the Bangladesh cricket team. Herath was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Abdul Qadir Khan SI was an international cricketer who bowled leg spin for Pakistan. Abdul Qadir is widely regarded as a legendary leg spinner from the 1970s and 1980s and was a role model for up and coming leg spinners. Qadir was voted the best player in the Group B matches of the 1987 Cricket World Cup and won a car which he donated to Imran Khan for his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre project. Later he was a commentator and Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board,from which he resigned in 2009 due to differences of opinion with leading Pakistan cricket administrators.
Paul David Collingwood is an English cricket coach and former player,who played in all three formats of the game internationally for England. He played for Durham County Cricket Club. Collingwood was a regular member of the England Test side and captain of the One Day International (ODI) team (2007–2008). He was the first T20I captain for England. As captain,he led the England team to win their first ICC trophy,the 2010 World Twenty20,and scored the winning run in the final.
Daryl Raymond Tuffey is a former New Zealand cricketer who represented New Zealand in all formats internationally. Tuffey was born in Milton,Otago,and played domestic first-class cricket for Northern Districts Knights. Tuffey retired from all forms of cricket on 14 September 2012.
Deshabandu Pinnaduwage Aravinda de Silva is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain,Regarded as one of the best Sri Lankan cricketer,he played in the team as an all-rounder. De Silva was a key member of the Sri Lankan team that won 1996 Cricket World Cup,where he scored a match winning century in the final,that brought Sri Lanka from underdog status to present-day form. He has held various posts in Sri Lankan Cricket after his retirement in 2003. He was inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2023.
