GRIMAZE is a metal band from Sofia, Bulgaria. The band consists of vocalists Georgi Ivanov and Pavel Krumov, guitarist Melina Krumova and bassist Philip Kolarov. [1]

History

The band was formed in 2013. In 2016 GRIMAZE released their first two singles "Survival of The Fittest" [2] [3] and "My Vow". [4] Later on in the year the band released their first EP - "Dreammares". [5]

In 2018 the band released their album "Planet Grimaze", [1] along with a video for the song "Endless Life Force". [1]

In the autumn of 2018 Grimaze was a part of Anticult Balkan Tour 2018 with Decapitated, Hatesphere, Thy Disease and Dehydrated. [1]

Genre and lyrical themes

GRIMAZE's sound is not easily classified as it is a mixture of several different styles. Genres that have been associated with GRIMAZE are: technical death metal, groove metal and progressive metal [6]

GRIMAZE's lyrics reflect on a deeper self-knowledge, improvement and purification. [6]

The 2014 Bulgarian Cup Final was the 74th final of the Bulgarian Cup. The match, contested by Botev Plovdiv and Ludogorets Razgrad, took place on 15 May 2014 at Lazur Stadium in Burgas. Ludogorets won the final 1–0, claiming their second ever Bulgarian Cup title.

The 2017–18 First Professional Football League was the 94th season of the top division of the Bulgarian football league system, the 69th since a league format was adopted for the national competition of A Group as a top tier of the pyramid and also the 2nd season of the First Professional Football League, which decides the Bulgarian champion. The season is the second with a new league structure and strict financial criteria where 14 clubs play each other home and away, until the league is split up in championship and relegation playoffs. The new league structure, inspired by the ones used by the Belgian First Division A and Danish Superliga, was approved by the Bulgarian Football Union on 6 June 2016. The fixture list was released on 22 June 2017.

The 2018–19 First Professional Football League was the 95th season of the top division of the Bulgarian football league system, the 70th since a league format was adopted for the national competition of A Group as a top tier of the pyramid and also the 3rd season of the First Professional Football League, which decides the Bulgarian champion. The season began on 20 July 2018 and finished on 30 May 2019. Ludogorets Razgrad became champions for the 8th consecutive time, on the final matchday of the season, with a 4–1 home win over Cherno More Varna.

The 2019−20 Bulgarian Cup was the 38th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 4 September 2019 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 1 July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bulgaria. Lokomotiv Plovdiv successfully defended the cup by winning on penalties against CSKA Sofia and qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League.
