The Gruppenliga (English: Football Group League) is the seventh tier of football in the German state of Hesse. The Gruppenligas were established in 2008, replacing the Bezirksoberligas in the state. Below the Gruppenligas sit the Kreisoberligas in Hesse. [1] [2]

VfR Bürstadt is a German association football club playing out of Bürstadt, Hesse. The team was founded 1 February 1910 as SC 1910 Bürstadt and took on the name VfR on 23 August 1919. Between 1973 and 1983 they played as VfR Oli Bürstadt in recognition of sponsoring firm Otto Limburg Bürstadt-Bobstadt.

FV Bad Vilbel is a German football club from Bad Vilbel, near Frankfurt, Hesse. Founded on 30 March 1919 as SV 1919 Bad Vilbel, they merged with FG Phönix Bad Vilbel in 1933 to become FC Phönix Bad Vilbel and were re-established under their current name after World War II. The club today has a membership of about 450 and was playing in the Oberliga Hessen (IV) as a mid-table side from 1992 to 2007. Bad Vilbel's best result there was a third-place finish in 2000. In 2007, the club was relegated to the Verbandsliga Hessen-Süd. They currently play in the fifth-tier of German football, the Hessenliga.

The Bezirksoberliga was the seventh tier of the German football league system in the state of Bavaria from 1988 to 2012. The Bezirksoberligas have also existed in other states of Germany, like Hesse and Lower Saxony. In Hesse, they were renamed to Gruppenligas, in Lower Saxony to Landesligas. At the end of the 2011–12 season, Bavaria abolished its Bezirksoberligas, too, leaving Germany without such a league in senior men's football unless another federation would opt to rename or introduce a league.
