Guerra de Titanes (2008) ("War of the Titans") was the twelfth annual Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. The show took place on December 6, 2008 in Orizaba, Mexico, the same venue used for the 2006 and 2007 events. The Main event featured a Ladder match for the vacant AAA Mega Championship between El Mesias and El Zorro and saw Mesias win the match to become a two time champion. In addition to the main event the show featured a Steel Cage Match Lucha de Apuestas where the last man left in the cage would have his hair shaved off. The participants in the cage match were brothers El Brazo and Brazo de Plata as well as Pirata Morgan, Electroshock, Super Fly and El Elegido and saw El Brazo shaved bald as a result of his loss. As is tradition with AAA major events the wrestlers compete inside a hexagonal wrestling ring and not the four sided ring the promotion uses for television events and House shows.
Starting in 1997 the Mexican professional wrestling, company AAA has held a major wrestling show late in the year, either November or December, called Guerra de Titanes ("War of the Titans"). The show often features championship matches or Lucha de Apuestas or bet matches where the competitors risked their wrestling mask or hair on the outcome of the match. In Lucha Libre the Lucha de Apuetas match is considered more prestigious than a championship match and a lot of the major shows feature one or more Apuesta matches. The Guerra de Titanes show is hosted by a new location each year, emanating from cities such as Madero, Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Jalisco and more. The 2008 Guerra de Titanes show was the eleventh show in the series.
The Guerra de Titanes show featured six professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing, scripted feuds, plots, and storylines. Wrestlers were portrayed as either heels (referred to as rudos in Mexico, those that portray the "bad guys") or faces (técnicos in Mexico, the "good guy" characters) as they followed a series of tension-building events, which culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
Erick Francisco Casas Ruiz is a Mexican professional wrestler currently working under the ring name Heavy Metal for AAA. He is the son of referee Pepe Casas and part of the Casas wrestling family; the brother of Negro Casas and Felino.
Espíritu / Dark Espíritu is a Mexican Luchador who's most well known for working as a heel character in Antonio Peña (AAA). Espíritu was original a member of the stable Los Vatos Locos, replacing Charly Manson when he left to form The Black Family in mid-2001. In November 2005 the Black Family asked Espíritu to join their group as they became part of La Secta Cibernética. Espíritu switched to the Black Family but parted amicably with the other Vatos Locos and at times teams with his old teammates Picudo, Nygma and Silver Cat. When La Secta became La Secta del Mesías Espíritu adopted the darker more "gothic" look that came with the shift in name.
Guerra de Titanes is a major annual professional wrestling event in Mexico promoted by the Lucha Libre AAA World Wide (AAA) promotion. The show is the "End of year" show and is traditionally held in December with a few exceptions. The first show was held in 1997 and since then fifteen events have been held, the more recent ones presented on pay-per-view while the early shows were shown as television specials on the Televisa channel.
Erick Aguilar Muñoz is a Mexican luchador better known by the ring name Super Fly. He works for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) where he has worked since 2005. Super Fly is best known as a tecnico and the co-leader of the AAA wrestling group Real Fuerza Aérea, but has recently turned rudo and joined the group La Milicia and its umbrella group La Sociedad. Super Fly is the son of luchador El Seminarista, not to be confused with one of his trainers, Skayde, who has also wrestled under the same ring name.
Juan Alvarado Nieves was a Mexican Luchador. He was best known under the ring name El Brazo, which he used since his debut in 1980. Alvarado was part of the Alvarado wrestling family, which includes his father Shadito Cruz, five brothers who used the "Brazo" name at some point and several third-generation wrestlers.
Guerra de Titanes (2009) was the thirteenth annual Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by AAA since 1997. The show took place on December 11, 2009 in the Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas Convention center, a site that AAA has used for many of their major shows. Guerra de Titanes is AAA's "End of year" show and the fifth of their "big shows" they hold every year. The Main Event saw Dr. Wagner Jr. defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Mesias in a Domo De La Muerte cage match. The show also featured two AAA championship matches as Nicho el Millonario and Joe Líder defended the AAA World Tag Team Championship and Mini Charly Manson defended the AAA World Mini-Estrella Championship. Furthermore a "Mask vs. Hair", Lucha de Apuesta match between Faby Apache and Sexy Star took place as well. Finally the show featured a Six-man "Lucha Libre rules" tag team match and a four on four "AAA vs. La Legion Extranjera elimination match where the winner would receive a title match for the AAA Mega Championship as AAA's 2010 Rey de Reyes show.
Guerra de Titanes (2003) was the seventh Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. The show took place on November 30, 2003 in Naucalpan, Mexico. The show featured the semi finals and finals of the " Televisa Tag Team Tournament" which was the teams of David Young and Mr. Águila, Heavy Metal and El Zorro, Latin Lover and Michael Shane and Jason the Terrible and Ghefar.

The main event featured a Tag Team match between AAA loyalists Cibernético and La Parka taking on the "Invading forces" of La Legión Extranjera.
Guerra de Titanes (2005) was the ninth Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. The show took place on December 10, 2005 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The Main event featured Eight-man "Atómics" tag team match between the teams of La Secta Cibernetica and Abismo Negro, Latin Lover and La Parka.
Guerra de Titanes was the tenth Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. The show took place on December 8, 2006 in Madero, Mexico. The Main event featured "extreme coffin" match between Cibernético and El Mesias, with Konnan serving as special referee in the match.
2007 Guerra de Titanes was the eleventh Guerra de Titanes professional wrestling show promoted by Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). The show took place on November 20, 2007 in Madero, Mexico like the previous year’s event. The Main event featured a 3 way Elimination match where the AAA Mega Champion El Mesias defended against Cibernético and El Zorro.
Verano de Escándalo 2003 was a series of major Lucha Libre or professional wrestling shows held by the Mexican wrestling promotion AAA over the summer of 2003. In previous and subsequent years AAA's Verano de Escándalo were a single event, but in 2003 it was a series of three shows held on August 31 (A), September 16 (B) and September 28 (C), 2003. The events featured a number of professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines. Wrestlers portrayed either villains or fan favorites as they competed in wrestling matches with pre-determined outcomes.
Verano de Escándalo (2007) was the eleventh annual Verano de Escándalo professional wrestling show promoted by Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). The show took place on September 16, 2007 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The Main event featured a Domo De La Muerte cage match match where the last person in the cage would have his hair shaved off. The participants were the team of "Los Hell Brothers" along with El Zorro taking on the Black Family.
Triplemanía XVI was the sixteenth Triplemanía professional wrestling show scripted and produced by Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). The show took place on June 13, 2008 in Mexico City, Mexico. The show was available on pay-per-view (PPV) in Mexico, the first Triplemanía show to be offered on PPV. The main event featured a singles match for the AAA Mega Championship. Champion Cibernético defended against El Zorro.
Edgar Luna Pozos is a Mexican Luchador or professional wrestler best known under the ring name Electroshock, which he has used while working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) since 1997. Pozos is married to luchadora Lady Apache and is the brother of Luchador Charly Manson. As Electroshock Pozos has been a member of the groups Los Vipers, La Legión Extranjera and Los Wagnermaniacos. He is the winner of the 2009 Rey de Reyes tournament and a one-time AAA Mega Champion.
Mario González Lozano is a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler, who works as an Exótico for the Mexican Lucha Libre AAA World Wide promotion and Lucha Underground under the ring name Pimpinela Escarlata. As Escarlata he is a former AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Mexican National Middleweight Champion and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion. His ring name is Spanish for "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and is taken from the fictional character of the same name.

The event was the fourteenth Guerra de Titanes show promoted by AAA since 1997 and was headlined by a match for the AAA Mega Championship between champion Dr. Wagner Jr. and challenger El Zorro. The main event of the evening saw Los Perros del Mal handing Los Psycho Circus their first ever loss, ending their three-year-long undefeated streak.

The event took place on August 28, 2016, and was held in the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. The event Was the 24th year in a row that AAA had held a Triplemanía show, and was the 31st show held under the Triplemanía banner since 1993. The annual Triplemanía show is AAA's biggest show of the year, serving as the culmination of major storylines and feature wrestlers from all over the world competing in what has been described as AAA's version of WrestleMania or their Super Bowl event.

The event was the twentieth annual Guerra de Titanes show which, until 2015, has traditionally been AAA's "end of the year" show. In 2016 the show was shifted from December to January instead. The show was held in Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City, Mexico which also hosted the 2016 Guerra de Titanes show.
