Guillaume Junior Atangana (born 22 January 1999) is a Cameroonian T11 Paralympic sprint runner. He represented Refugee Paralympic Team at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
He represented the Refugee Paralympic Team at the 2024 Summer Paralympics and won a bronze medal in the 400 metres T11 event. [1] [2]
The 2004 Summer Paralympics, officially known as the Games of the XII Paralympics, were a international summer multi-parasport event for athletes with disabilities governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) held in Athens, Greece from 17 to 28 September 2004. Greece hosted a Paralympic Games for the first time, and it was also the 12th Paralympic Games in history. A total of 3,806 athletes representing 136 National Paralympic Committees (NPC) participated, and 17 NPCs made their Paralympic debuts in Athens. The Games featured 519 events in 19 sports across 20 disciplines, including the Paralympic debut of football 5-a-side.

Elizabeth Gemma Clegg, is a British Paralympic sprinter and tandem track cyclist who has represented both Scotland and Great Britain at international events. She represented Great Britain in the T12 100m and 200m at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, winning a silver medal in the T12 100m race. She won Gold in Rio at the 2016 Paralympic Games in 100m T11 where she broke the world record and T11 200m, beating the previous Paralympic record in the process, thus making her a double Paralympic champion.

Guatemala sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the nation's seventh time competing in the Summer Paralympic Games since it made its debut forty years prior in Toronto, Canada. Middle-distance runner Óscar Raxón Siquiej was the only athlete that Guatemala sent to Rio de Janeiro after he was awarded a wild card spot by the International Paralympic Committee. He was third and last in his heat in the men's 1500 metres T11 and failed to advance to the final since only the top six were allowed in that stage of the competition.
Nepal sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the fourth time the nation had taken part in a Paralympic Games following its first appearance at the 2004 Summer Paralympics. Nepal was represented by two athletes in Rio de Janeiro: sprinter Bikram Rana and short-distance swimmer Laxmi Kunwar, who both qualified for the Paralympics by using wild card spots for their respective sports. Neither athlete advanced beyond the first round of their respective events as they both finished 17th overall in their competitions.

The Refugee Paralympic Team competed at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September 2024. The team consisted of eight athletes and one guide runner, all refugees and asylees who represented more than 120 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. The formation of the team and its six athletes was announced on 9 July 2024 in a joint statement by the IPC and UNHCR. The team had made its debut at the 2016 Paralympics as the Independent Paralympic Athletes Team, which consisted of just two athletes, and returned to the 2020 Summer Paralympics under the current name with six refugee and asylee Paralympic athletes.
