Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Lucknow is a residential sports college in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. [2] It offers sports training in football, hockey, wrestling, athletics, badminton, swimming and kabaddi in 6th to 12th standard and with the curriculum of U.P. Board. It is the first sports college established in Uttar Pradesh before Beer Bahadur Singh Sports College in Gorakhpur and Etawah's Saifai Sports College.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), before 2015 known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), is a public collegiate university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University through the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000. To reduce workload and to ensure proper management, the university was bifurcated into separate universities, Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) and Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), with effect from 1 May 2010. It is the third sports college established in Uttar Pradesh after Guru Gobind Singh Sports College of Lucknow and Beer Bahadur Singh Sports College in Gorakhpur.

Bir Bahadur Singh Sports College, Gorakhpur is a residential sports college in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, established in 1988. It offers sports training in football, hockey, wrestling, athletics, badminton, swimming and kabaddi in 6th to 12th standard and with the curriculum of the U.P. Board. It is the second sports college established in Uttar Pradesh after Guru Gobind Singh Sports College of Lucknow and before Etawah's Saifai Sports College.

It was established through the Uttar Pradesh Act No. 6 of 2020, specializing in ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and homoeopathy (AYUSH). It was renamed as Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur by the Uttar Pradesh Act No. 6 of 2021.
