H & Claire was an English-Welsh pop duo consisting of Steps members Claire Richards and Ian "H" Watkins. They scored three top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart in 2002.
Following the split of Steps on 26 December 2001, H & Claire formed the duo. The pair released their debut single "DJ" on WEA Records on 6 May 2002. The single debuted and peaked on the UK Singles Chart at number 3, spending a week in the top 10.
Their second single, "Half a Heart" followed on 12 August 2002, peaking at number 8. Their third and final single release was a double A-side of an original song entitled "All Out of Love" and a cover of the Disney song "Beauty and the Beast". The single was released in November 2002 and peaked at number 10, spending three weeks on the UK top 40. Their debut album, Another You Another Me, followed. However, it peaked at number 58 on the UK Albums Chart, and WEA Records soon dropped the pair.
Following the release of the duo's debut album, they were set to go back into the studio to record new material after Richards' wedding, although that never materialized following Richards retiring from the public eye meaning they disbanded in 2003.
In May 2011, the duo reunited with their original group Steps.
In November 2020, a collection of B-Sides, along with remix bundles for the album's three singles, were uploaded to streaming services [1] to mark the 18th anniversary of Another You Another Me.
In 2023, H & Claire came together for a one off appearance at Pride Cymru to celebrate 20 years of their debut single DJ.

Steps are a British dance-pop group consisting of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian "H" Watkins. They were formed in May 1997 and achieved two number-one albums in the UK, 14 consecutive UK top-5 singles including two number ones. The group has sold over 22 million records worldwide, 15 million albums worldwide.In-addition to earning a BRIT Award nomination in 1999, for Best Newcomer, the group would be an opening support act for Britney Spears on her debut American tour the same year. When Richards and Watkins departed to form a recording duo, the group disbanded, on 26 December 2001 (officially). Their penultimate single reached No. 5 on the UK charts, while their final album of greatest hits, Gold (2001), was the group's second No. 1 album in the UK.

Discovered by record production duo Tim & Bob, the group signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records, an imprint of Arista Records to release their eponymous debut studio album (1996). "One for Sorrow" is a song by British pop-dance group Steps, released as the third single from their debut album, Step One (1998). It also became the quintet's first single to reach the top five on the UK Singles Chart. Debuting at number two and spending 11 weeks on the UK chart, the song established Steps's intention to revive the ABBA sound, striking a considerable resemblance to their 1980 hit "The Winner Takes It All". "Flowers" is the debut single by UK garage duo Sweet Female Attitude, released on 3 April 2000. The song uses the same chord sequence as Erik Satie's Trois Gymnopédies, and the actual piece can be heard in the version by The House & Garage Orchestra, from the 2018 album Garage Classics.
"Love's Gotta Hold on Me" is a 1979 single by British pop duo Dollar. It was released in July 1979 and became one of the duo's biggest hits, peaking at number four in the UK Singles Charts. The song was written by the duo themselves and produced by Christopher Neil. It was included on their debut album Shooting Stars.
"Scared of the Dark" is a song recorded by British group Steps for their fifth studio album, Tears on the Dancefloor (2017). On 6 March 2017, the group announced their twentieth anniversary celebrations in the form of a new single, album and accompanying tour. "Scared of the Dark" premiered on The Ken Bruce Show on BBC Radio 2 on 9 March, and was released as the lead single from the album the following day. It is a disco song written by Carl Ryden and Fiona Bevan and performed mostly by band members Claire Richards and Faye Tozer. It garnered rave reviews from music critics, many of whom praised Steps for deliberately not conforming to current musical trends and for sticking to their original sound but with a modern feel. Within twelve hours of release, it reached number one on the iTunes Store in the United Kingdom, and debuted at number 37 on the UK Singles Chart.
