Halchowk Stadium (also known as APF Stadium [1] ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kathmandu in Bagmati Province of Nepal. [2] The stadium holds 3,500 people. [3]

It is mainly used for soccer matches and has a grass playing surface. [4] The last major tournament hosted there was the 2019 SAFF U-18 Championship.

2012 AFC Challenge Cup International football competition

The 2012 AFC Challenge Cup was the fourth edition of the tournament, an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member nations that are mainly categorized as "emerging countries" in the defunct Vision Asia programme. It took place in Nepal from 8–19 March 2012. Unlike in previous editions of the tournament, there were no automatic qualifiers. Therefore, 2010 champions North Korea, runners-up Turkmenistan, and third-placed Tajikistan had to navigate the qualification phase in order to return to the finals. North Korea successfully defended their title and qualified for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

The 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualification phase saw eight teams advance to the final tournament in Nepal. The qualification draw was held on 20 October 2010, in AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

2013 SAFF Championship International football competition

The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly referred to as 2013 SAFF Championship, was the 10th SAFF Championship for men's national football teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament took place from 31 August to 11 September 2013, and was hosted by Nepal for the second time, with the previous being in 1997.

It was the first B division league held since 2014 due to the April 2015 Nepal earthquake. All matches were played at Halchowk Stadium and the ANFA Complex.

Manish Dangi is a Nepalese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Martyr's Memorial A-Division League club Machhindra and the Nepal national team.

The 2021–22 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, also known as the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A-Division League for sponsorship reasons, was the 44th edition of the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, the top tier of Nepalese Football. Machhindra F.C. were the defending champions. Due to time constraints, instead of the league winner, Machhindra F.C., the top team after matchday 7, will represent the league in the 2022 AFC Cup Preliminary Round 1.
