The 2017 SAFF U-15 Championship was the 4th edition of the SAFF U-15 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-15 national teams organized by SAFF. Since most teams use to send their U-15 team keeping in mind 2018 AFC U-16 Championship qualification it has been officially changed to U-15 tournament. The tournament was hosted by Nepal from 18 to 27 of August, 2017 at ANFA Complex, Satdobato and Halchowk Stadium. Six teams from the region took part, divided into two groups. [1]
On July 10, 2017, a tournament draw ceremony was held in the conference room of the Bangladesh Football Federation. SAFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag were among those present. [2]
Players born on or after 1 January 2002 were eligible to compete in the tournament.

The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly referred to as 2013 SAFF Championship, was the 10th SAFF Championship for men's national football teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament took place from 31 August to 11 September 2013, and was hosted by Nepal for the second time, with the previous being in 1997.
The 2013 SAFF U-16 Championship was the 2nd edition of the SAFF U-16 Championship organized by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament hosted by Nepal from 20 to 30 July at Dasarath Stadium and army ground. Seven teams from the region were participated in the tournament.
The 2015 SAFF U-19 Championship was the 1st edition of the SAFF U-19 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-19 national teams organized by SAFF. The tournament was hosted by Nepal from 20–29 of August. Six teams from the region took part, dividing into two groups. Nepal defeated India in the penalty shot in the finals and won the championship making Nepal first country to win the first U-19 SAFF Championship.

The 2018 SAFF U-18 Women's Championship was the first edition of the SAFF U-18 Women's Championship, an international football competition for women's under-18 national teams organized by SAFF. The tournament was hosted from 28 September – 7 October 2018 at Changlimithang Stadium. Six teams from the region took part.
The 2021 SAFF Championship, known as Ooredoo SAFF Championship 2021 for sponsorship reasons, was the thirteenth edition of the SAFF Championship, the biennial international men's football championship of South Asia organised by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, it was decided to be hosted by Pakistan in 2020, but was postponed to September 2021 in Bangladesh. However, the tournament was postponed again to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Maldives as host.
The 2018 SAFF U-15 Championship was the fifth edition of the SAFF U-15 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-15 national teams organized by SAFF. The tournament was hosted by Nepal from October 25 to November 3, 2018, at ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal. Six out of seven teams from the region took part, as Sri Lanka later withdrew their team, and the teams were divided into two groups. On 3 November 2018, Bangladesh edged out Pakistan in a close match decided in a penalty shootout to claim their second SAFF title.
The 2019 SAFF Women's Championship was the 5th edition of the SAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football championship contested by the national teams of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, scheduled from 17 to 26 December 2018 in Sri Lanka, the competition was rescheduled, as Sri Lanka withdrew as hosts. Afterwards, it was scheduled to be held in 2019 from 12 to 22 March and to be hosted by Nepal.
