The SAFF U-18/U-19/U-20 Championship is a biennial football championship for male footballers under the age of 20 and is organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The championship was held for the first time in August 2015 in Nepal. [1] The tournaments are held just before AFC U-19 Championship qualification matches, keeping in mind about proper preparation for that. [2]

The SAFF U-15/U-16/U-17 Championship is an annual international football competition contested by the national teams of the members of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The first edition was held as SAFF U-16 Championship, where most teams sent their U-15 team, keeping in mind AFC U-16 Championship hold every following years to SAFF U-16 Championship. In the 2017 edition, it was held as SAFF U-15 Championship and the subsequent 2022 edition, the SAFF U-17 Championship was introduced. The first edition of the tournament took place in Nepal in August 2011. The competition was launched under the leadership of SAFF President Kazi Salahuddin who was elected in 2009.

But since most teams use to send their U-18 team keeping in mind 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification it has been officially changed to U-18 tournament. All the seven teams of the member associations are eligible to compete in tournament, unless sanctioned by AFC or FIFA.

Mosammat Mishrat Jahan Moushumi is a Bangladeshi professional women's footballer who plays as a midfielder or winger for both the Bangladesh Women's Football League club Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. Currently, she is the captain of the Bangladesh women's national U19 team which won the 2018 SAFF U-18 Women's Championship. She was also the member of AFC U-14 Girls' Regional Championship – South and Central winning Bangladesh U-14 team in Nepal in 2015. Maria Manda Sangma is a Bangladeshi professional women's footballer who plays as a midfielder for both the Bangladesh Women's Football League club Bashundhara Kings Women and the Bangladesh women's national football team. Previously she played for the Kalsindur High School team in Mymensingh. She was a member of the Bangladesh Under-14 team that won the 2015 AFC U-14 Women's Regional Championship - South and Central in Nepal and the 2016 AFC U-14 Women's Regional Championship - South and Central in Tajikistan. As a defensive midfield player, she played in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification which held in Dhaka, Bangladesh under Bangladesh U16.

The 2023 SAFF U-19 Championship was the 5th edition of the SAFF U-19 Championship, an international football competition for men's under-19 national teams organized by South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). It took place from 21–30 September 2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
