Malvern College is a fee-charging coeducational boarding and day school in Malvern, Worcestershire, England. It is a public school in the British sense of the term and is a member of the Rugby Group and of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. Since its foundation in 1865, it has remained on the same grounds, which are located near the town centre of Great Malvern. The campus, now covering some 250 acres, is near the Malvern Hills.

It has been named top-performing state school in the north for nine years running by The Sunday Times. It is one of the best-performing schools in the North of England; in 2011, 91% of pupils gained the equivalent of 5 or more GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and maths; the figure has been over 84% consistently since at least 2006. The school was graded "outstanding" in its 2012 Ofsted report. In 2017, the school's boarding was rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted. As a state school, it does not charge fees for pupils to attend, but they must pass an entrance test at 11+ or 13+. There is no selection test for entry into sixth form as pupils are admitted on the basis of their GCSE grades.
Sutton Grammar School is a selective state grammar school for boys aged 11–18 with a coeducational sixth form. Located in South London, the school's main site is in Sutton and its playing fields are in neighbouring Cheam.

Gordon's School is a secondary school with academy status in West End near Woking, Surrey, England. It was founded as the Gordon Boys' Home in 1885. It is now one of the 36 state boarding schools in England. It converted to an academy on 1 January 2013. It was ranked as the second-highest-achieving state boarding school in 2016 by The Daily Telegraph, but controversy arose over the school charging £8,209 a year for day-pupil places. It has been argued that makes the state school selective, along with others which charge similar fees. Under the Education Act 1996 it is illegal for state schools to charge for admission or education provided within normal hours. In June 2022 Gordon's was judged Boarding School of the Year by the TES.
Teddington School is a co-educational state school for ages 11–18, located in Teddington in the borough of Richmond upon Thames in south-west London. It has had academy status since 2012, and is operated by the Bourne Trust. It opened a co-educational sixth form in 2014.
The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College is a secondary school and sixth form college located in Hartlepool, County Durham with academy status. English Martyrs is the only Catholic secondary school in Hartlepool. The school and college are both located on the same site on Catcote Road, however, a newly built specialist sixth form block provides the majority of A-Level classes, as well as some 11–16 school lessons.
