The Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League is a junior ice hockey league in Manitoba, Canada, sanctioned by Hockey Manitoba. It is the only Junior 'C' league in Manitoba, and as such, league champions are also named provincial Junior 'C' champions. [1]
The HTJHL operates exclusively in the southeastern part of the province. It was created in 1987 to complement the now-defunct senior level Hanover-Taché Hockey League, which was succeeded by the Carillon Senior Hockey League.
The number of teams has fluctuated throughout the years, with a high of ten teams competing in 2011-12.
Île-des-Chênes Elks had much success during their 17-season tenure winning the league title six times.
Steinbach Huskies are the most successful club claiming the HTJHL championship nine times (1989, 1990, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2023).

Steinbach is the third-largest city in the province of Manitoba, Canada, and with a population of 17,806, the largest community in the Eastman region. The city, located about 58 km (36 mi) southeast of the provincial capital of Winnipeg, is bordered by the Rural Municipality of Hanover to the north, west, and south, and the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie to the east. Steinbach was first settled by Plautdietsch-speaking Mennonites from Ukraine in 1874, whose descendants continue to have a significant presence in the city today. Steinbach is found on the eastern edge of the Canadian Prairies, while Sandilands Provincial Forest is a short distance east of the city.

The 2009 Allan Cup was the Canadian championship of senior ice hockey. This tournament marked the 101st year that the Allan Cup has been awarded. The 2009 tournament was hosted by the City of Steinbach, Manitoba and the Steinbach North Stars. The tournament began on April 13, 2009, and ended April 18, 2009. All games were played at the T.G. Smith Centre.

The Mitchell Mohawks were a Canadian junior 'C' ice hockey team based in Mitchell, Manitoba until 2019. A senior team with the same name also competed in the Carillon Senior Hockey League until 2013. The minor hockey organization (U7-U18) changed its name from Mitchell Mohawks to Mitchell Mustangs in 2020. The junior team, established in 1988, competed in the Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League. The team has won two league championships. After going on hiatus for two seasons (2012–14) the team returned to league play for the 2014–15 season and has again been on hiatus since the end of the 2018–2019 season.
The South East Prairie Thunder were a Canadian Senior 'AAA' ice hockey team based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba and two-time Allan Cup champions. They played an independent schedule under the jurisdiction of Hockey Manitoba. The team is inactive as of 2021.

The 2016 Allan Cup was the Canadian championship of senior ice hockey and the 108th year the Allan Cup was awarded. The tournament was contended in Steinbach, Manitoba from April 11 to April 16, 2016, with all games played at the T.G. Smith Centre. The Bentley Generals defeated the host and defending champion South East Prairie Thunder in overtime to win the national title.

Linden is an unincorporated community in Manitoba, Canada, within the Rural Municipality of Taché. The community is centred on PR 210, approximately 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) west of Landmark and 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) south-east of Ile des Chenes.
