Johannes Cornelis Maria "Hans" Koeleman (born 5 October 1957) is a retired Dutch middle- and long-distance runner. He competed in the steeplechase at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics, but failed to reach the finals. [1] In this event he won a medal at every national championship between 1977 and 1988.

Koeleman was a four-time All-American for the Clemson Tigers track and field team in the mile run, 3000 metres flat, and 3000 m steeplechase. [2]

Henry Rono was a Kenyan track and field athlete who specialised in various long-distance running events. Although he never competed at the Olympics, Rono is remembered as one of the most prolific collegiate competitors in the history of track in the United States, as well as being the former record holder for the 3000 metres steeplechase for over a decade. Rono also set the world record for the 5000 metres twice: once in 1978, then again in 1981.

Brian Lee Diemer is a former American track and field athlete, who mainly competed in the 3000 metre steeplechase during his career. He was high school state champion in the mile while running at South Christian High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1983 after taking third in the 2 mile at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, held in nearby Detroit. He won the outdoor 1983 NCAA 3000m Steeplechase in a time of 8:26.95.

George L. Young was an American track athlete and college coach. In December 2019 he ran a World Record treadmill mile of 3:55. He has the first known recorded sub-4 mile ever run on a treadmill. In January 2020 he followed up his mile with a World Record 2 mile run of 8:24 at the Endurance Exchange hosted by USA Triathlon. He is current training to make his 5th Olympic trials and 3rd Olympic team. In spring 2020 he is hoping to become the fourth human being ever to break 4-minute mile on the track at 40 years old.

Hector Begeo is a three-time Olympian representing the Philippines. He is the national record holder in the men's 3000 metres steeplechase. He also placed second in the 1983 Asian Athletics Championships and third in the steeplechase at the 1982 Asian Games. He is the only Filipino to advance to the semi-finals in the 3000 m Steeplechase in an Olympic event during the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He also represented the Philippines at the 1997 World Championships in Athletics.

He went tô the final in the world championship junior in 1988 in the 3000 meters steeplechase, 4th place sudbury Canadá. Second place in the 2000 steeplechase in Quito, Ecuador ,1986 high-altitude 6:16.34. First place in the South American in the 2000 meters steeplechase under 20 5:46.26 Santiago do Chile in 1987.
