Hanumant Singh is an Indian politician from BJP Uttar Pradesh who served as the Sugarcane Development Minister under First Kalyan Singh ministry in 1991. He served as the member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Balrampur constituency from 1989 to 1993. Thereafter he lost from Balrampur four times in a row: 1993, 1996, 2002 & 2007. Balrampur Lok Sabha constituency was a Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency in northern India. Balrampur is in Uttar Pradesh state. This constituency ceased to exist in 2008 with the implementation of delimitation of the parliamentary constituencies. Most of the area under the erstwhile Balrampur seat now falls under Shravasti Lok Sabha constituency since 2008.

Ram Pratap Verma is Bhartiya Janta Party MLA from Utraula assembly of district Balrampur for the second consecutive time. He is the son of Shyamlal Verma, ex MLA Utraula (2007-2012).
