Highland Township, officially the Charter Township of Highland, is a charter township of west Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 19,202 at the 2010 census.

WBFH, also known as The Biff, is a community radio station that has operated out of Bloomfield Hills High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan since October 1, 1976. The school district has merged their two high schools into one and has built a new high school on the site of what was Andover High School. The new school opened in September 2015. WBFH now has new studios in a highly visible area off the Commons and Main Street. The new studios have one on air room, three production studios, a work room and a storage room. WBFH broadcasts with 360 watts of power at 88.1 MHz on the FM dial. The signal is directional and can be heard throughout mid-Oakland County. For a period until October 16, 2016, the station was simulcast on 89.5 FM, WAHS, owned by the Avondale School District. The two stations have since resumed separate programming.
Bishop Borgess High School was a Catholic secondary school in the Detroit suburb of Redford, Michigan. Named after Caspar Henry Borgess, the second Roman Catholic bishop of Detroit, it was founded by the parishes of St. Suzanne, Our Lady of Grace, and St. Hilary (Redford). Later contributing parishes included St. Monica (Detroit), St. Robert Bellarmine (Redford), St. Gemma (Detroit)., St. Valentine (Redford), Christ the King (Detroit), St. Scholastica (Detroit), St. Thomas Aquinas (Detroit), and St. Gerard (Detroit).

WAHS is a radio station broadcasting a variety format. Licensed to Auburn Hills, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in November 1975. As of 2021, the station manager is Marty Shafer. The station serves as both a public station and a learning tool for young students attending Avondale High School. In 2016 WAHS expanded programming to feature both locally produced and nationally syndicated programs as well as Avondale sports coverage. They also re-branded their slogan from "The Station for Alteration" to "Avondale Community Radio." In 2017, they received an Michigan Association of Broadcasters award for High School Radio Station of the Year.
