South Lyon East High School is a public high school in Lyon Township, Michigan in Metro Detroit, near South Lyon. [3] [4] It is a part of South Lyon Community Schools and the Oakland Schools intermediate school district. It is accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The school was built to compensate for the overcrowding at South Lyon High School. It opened in September 2007. Since then, the school has attained a population of a little over a thousand students. These students participate in a variety of clubs and curriculares, including band, choir, theater, NHS, and others, on top of East’s sports teams.
South Lyon East is a member of the Lakes Valley Conference. Their nickname is the Cougars and the school colors are black and silver. Numerous fall, winter, and spring sports are offered at South Lyon East such as football, basketball, ski, and cheer. A full list is below. [5]

Milford High School, a public secondary school in the Huron Valley School District, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. It is located in Highland Township in Oakland County, Michigan. The school was founded in 1861. After over a century in Milford, the school moved to its present location in Highland Township in 1956. The new high school would survive the 1976 opening of Lakeland High School and has been renovated and expanded several times since. The athletic teams were originally called the Trojans when the school was located in downtown Milford, Michigan. Later the teams were renamed "the Redskins". The mascot was later changed to the Mavericks during the 2002–2003 school year which in turn meant the last graduating class for the Redskins was in 2005. The new athletic team name—the Mavericks—was adopted after a school-wide vote.
Holly High School (HHS) is a public high school for grades 9–12 located in Holly, Michigan. It provides secondary education for students living in Holly, Davisburg, Springfield Township, Rose Township, and White Lake Township. Its official mascot is the Broncho and its colors are red, white, and grey. In 1952, Holly High School opted to change the spelling of its mascot from Bronco to Broncho since the spelling was commonly used. Holly High School is the only high school in the Holly Area School District. The current high school, built in 1999 in Holly Township, Michigan, replaced a high school building that had been built down the street in 1958.
