Haynes King (born January 9, 2001) is an American football quarterback for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He previously played for the Texas A&M Aggies.
King attended Longview High School in Longview, Texas. As a senior, he was selected to the 2020 Under Armour All-American Game. [1] He committed to Texas A&M University to play college football. [2]

King played in two games as a backup quarterback to Kellen Mond his first year at Texas A&M in 2020. Prior to the 2021 season, he was named the team's starting quarterback. [4] [5] [6]
On September 11, against Colorado, King suffered a lower right leg injury on a scramble in the first quarter and was out for the remainder of the game; he was replaced by sophomore Zach Calzada. [7] On the Monday following the game, head coach Jimbo Fisher stated that King had a fractured leg and would be out indefinitely. [8]
On December 2, 2022, King entered the transfer portal. [9] [10]
On December 18, 2022, it was reported King had transferred to Georgia Tech. In his first start King was 19 of 32 for 313 passing yards and 3 touchdowns but had a fumble and interception as they lost 39–34 against Louisville.

John James "Jimbo" Fisher Jr. is a former American college football coach who was most recently the head coach at Texas A&M from 2018 until 2023. Prior to that, he led Florida State to a BCS National Championship victory in 2014.
Jerrod Terrel Johnson is an American professional football coach and former player who is the quarterbacks coach for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played quarterback at Texas A&M. Johnson was Texas A&M's starting quarterback from 2008 to 2010, finishing his collegiate career ranked first in school history with 8,011 passing yards and 8,888 yards total offense. He is currently second in school history in passing yards and third in total offense. Johnson was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and would play in the NFL for six seasons with the Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. Johnson's coaching career began in 2017; he held various assistant coaching roles on the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans.
