The Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association (HELMCA), founded in 2002, is the only national association of electroacoustic music in Greece.. [1] It is registered as a nonprofit organization (act. 1059.91/2001). Its members are active composers and sound artists who creatively use advances in music technology, producing a variety of musical forms of sonic art in their work. The main aim of HELMCA is to strengthen the collaboration and solidarity among its members and to promote electroacoustic music in Greece and abroad.
HELMCA became the official Greek federation of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME/ICEM) in June 2006, [2] and it is the national member of the IREM (International Rostrum of Elactroacoustic Music, a part of UNESCO).

The Electroacoustic Music Days festival, held annually, is the association's most important event where members meet, exchange ideas and present their latest work in a series of concerts. Every year it is organized in a different city and so far it has been hosted in Corfu, Rethymnon, Lixouri, Ioannina and Athens. The works are presented with an acousmonium loudspeaker orchestra. The festival has been held continuously since 2002 and is one of the longest-running electroacoustic music festivals internationally.

The cinema of Greece has a long and rich history. Though hampered at times by war or political instability, the Greek film industry dominates the domestic market and has experienced international success. Characteristics of Greek cinema include a dynamic plot, strong character development and erotic themes. Two Greek films, Missing (1982) and Eternity and a Day (1998), have won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Five Greek films have received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) is a nonprofit US-based organization founded in 1984 that aims to promote the performance, creation, and research of electro-acoustic music in the United States. SEAMUS comprises composers, performers, and teachers of electroacoustic music and is known for its annual conference, which provides a venue for the presentation and performance of electro-acoustic music from around the world. The organization was formed in 1984 as a U.S. chapter of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (ICEM) which had been formed 2 years prior in Bourges, France. The U.S. representative to ICEM, Jon Appleton, suggested to composer Barry Schrader the formation of such a chapter in 1983 and the inaugural meeting was held at the California Institute of the Arts in November 1984. Significant supporters have included CalArts, ASCAP, and The Alexander Family Foundation.

Panayiotis Kokoras is a Greek composer and computer music innovator. Kokoras's sound compositions use timbre as the main element of form. His concept of "holophony" describes his goal that each independent sound (φωνή), contributes equally into the synthesis of the total (ὅλος). In both instrumental and electroacoustic writing, his music calls upon a "virtuosity of sound," emphasizing the precise production of variable sound possibilities and the correct distinction between one timbre and another to convey the musical ideas and structure of the piece. His compositional output is also informed by musical research in Music Information Retrieval compositional strategies, Extended techniques, Tactile sound, Augmented reality, Robotics, Spatial Sound, Synesthesia. He is founding member of the Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association (HELMCA) and from 2004 to 2012 he was board member and president.

The 2006–07 Greek Football Cup was the 65th edition of the Greek Football Cup, competition. That season's edition was the first to be entitled "Hellas On Line Greek Cup". The competition started on 26 August 2006 and concluded on 5 May 2007 with the Final, held at the Panthessaliko Stadium. AEL won the trophy with a 2–1 victory over Panathinaikos.

Natasha Barrett is a British contemporary music composer specialising in electroacoustic art music. Her compositional aesthetics are derived from acousmatic issues. In addition to acousmatic concert music, she composes for instruments, live electronics, sound installations, multi-media works, real-time computer music improvisation, has made soundscapes for exhibitions, and music for contemporary dance and theater. Since 2000 her work has been influenced by spatialisation as a musical parameter, and the projection of 3-D sound-fields. She currently lives in Norway.

A total of 67 clubs had been accepted to enter, after the withdrawal of Egaleo, Kalamata and Pyrsos Grevena and their relegation to Delta Ethniki. The competition commenced on 4 September 2010 with the First Round and concluded on 30 April 2011 with the final, held at Olympic Stadium. The final was contested by Atromitos and AEK Athens, with AEK winning 3–0.
