Hellish Quart is an early access [1] sword fighting video game by Polish developer Kubold. The game features duels of two sword wielding players who fight until the opposing player is severely injured or killed. [2] [3]

The sword fighters are from 17th century Europe and the game uses 3D scans of authentic Eastern European clothing. [4] [5]

The game's development is led by Jakub Kisiel (an ex-senior animator for The Witcher 3), [6] who was inspired by the 1997 game Bushido Blade . [4] [7] [8]

<i>Nidhogg</i> (video game) 2014 video game

Nidhogg is a side-scrolling two-player fighting video game developed and published by Messhof. Players duel with swords in a pixelated environment. The game was commissioned for the New York University Game Center's annual multiplayer show, and was revised and demoed at private events over the next four years before its final release. It won Indiecade 2013's Game Design award and the 2011 Independent Games Festival's Nuovo Award. It was released for Microsoft Windows on January 13, 2014, and later ported to OS X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Critics praised the feel of the gameplay and its balance, but considered its single-player mode unsatisfying. Messhof released a sequel in 2017 with a higher resolution art style and additional weapons and arenas.

<i>Totally Accurate Battle Simulator</i> Simulation video game

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) is a physics-based strategy video game developed and published by Landfall Games. An alpha version of the game was initially released in 2016 to a small audience. The game was released for macOS and Windows in April 2021, for Xbox One in October 2021, for Nintendo Switch in November 2022, and for PlayStation 4 in September 2023. It has since received numerous free title updates that have added new content, such as maps and units, in addition to fixing bugs and improving the performance. Versions for Android and iOS are currently in development.

<i>Vintage Story</i> 2016 sandbox survival game

Vintage Story is a sandbox survival game developed and published by Anego Studios. The founders of Anego Studios, Tyron and Irena Madlener, began development on a standalone version of an earlier mod for Minecraft called Vintagecraft. An old version of the game is available for free download. The game is in early access and can be played in singleplayer or multiplayer modes.

<i>Teardown</i> (video game) 2022 video game

Teardown is a 2022 sandbox–puzzle game developed and published by Tuxedo Labs. The game revolves around the owner of a financially stricken demolition company, who is caught executing a questionable job and becomes entangled between helping police investigations and taking on further dubious assignments. Teardown features levels made of destructible voxels, and the player follows the campaign through consecutive missions. In most missions, the player must collect or destroy objects connected to a security alarm. The player has unlimited time to prepare and is given upgradable tools, vehicles, and explosives to create a path within the level that allows them to complete the objectives as quickly as possible. A timer starts as soon as the security alarm is triggered, and the player must complete all required objectives and reach a getaway vehicle within sixty seconds, through the alarm can be adjusted from the settings.

Unpacking is a puzzle video game developed by Witch Beam and published by Humble Bundle for Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game received positive reviews, and won several awards, including two BAFTA Games Awards, a D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game, and Game of the Year by Eurogamer.

Ranni the Witch is a character from the 2022 video game Elden Ring, and is voiced by Aimee-Ffion Edwards. A powerful witch, Empyrean, and antivillain inhabiting the body of a human-sized doll, and a major figure in the game's lore, she desires to overthrow the Two Fingers and replace the Golden Order with the power of the Dark Moon. She is most notable for being the primary catalyst to the events of Elden Ring, and the instigator of one of the game's main quest lines, culminating in the hidden "Age of Stars" ending in which the player character becomes her royal consort. Specializing in frost-based sorcery, she is also able to create powerful magical projections, one of which the player fights after wounding her mother, Queen Rennala.
